Steve McQueen had one of those I helped him gas it up one day at Ron Burpo Honda shop in Rancho Mirage, California. This is before the low desert was all built up. There was still lots of open desert then., I was 14 years old. It really made my day.. He was the king of cool. I will be 70 years old this year and I still ride. I will always remember that day
I didn't know until just now that Husky even made a twin. My God, that's amazing. EDIT: The Husqvarna 500 twin began when Swedish road racer Bo Grannath persuaded Husqvarna engineer Ruben Helmin to graft two Husky 250 cylinders onto a single case. The prototype engine was finished in 1968. Husky test riders Rolf Tibblin and Torsten Hallman decided that the engine’s dimensions were too bulky for motocross, although in 1969 Gunnar Nilsson won the European FIM Cup on it. The European FIM Cup was a series developed for 501cc to 750cc engines as a way of keeping outmoded British four-strokes alive. Nilsson raced a 504cc version of the Husky twin and dominated the short-lived Championship. Nilsson’s victory convinced American importer Edison Dye that the engine would be great for the Baja 1000. Husky rebuilt one of the road race engines to 492cc, and Malcolm Smith, Carl Berggren, Gunnar Nilsson and J.N. Roberts rode the 302-pound twin to Baja victory. motocrossactionmag.com/classic-motocross-iron-1969-husqvarna-500-twin/#:~:text=The%20Husqvarna%20500%20twin%20began,engine%20was%20finished%20in%201968.&text=Husqvarna's%20total%20run%20of%20offroad%20500%20twins%20was%20one%20bike.
That is a great repro of the "Baja Invader" twin! Man I love the sound of it! I would love to see how he put it all together! There is a guy in Sweden doing one now as well. Is this bike on display anywhere? The only other I know of is in Tom Whites museum.

That is one very special collector's MX racer! I never knew about the Husky twin, and what a beauty she is! Gorgeous bike, Mark.
Seriously nice old open classes! What a sound! Two smoking two strokin!!
I’m sure the neighbours love the sound of that bike
No Way!!! That thing is beautiful!!! Never knew one existed.
The thing looks jumpin' snappy when you rode it. Incredible. I thank God for your Creative abilities.

My mom yelling at me to turn it off..👏👍🙏🤣
That sound! Not a motorcycle but Combustion Art.
That's great! The engine sound reminds me of a Suzuki TR500. A bet that's a rare bike too.

Wow ! Is exactly what i said. Never saw a twin 500 Husky, didn't know that they existed. That sounds better than a Yamaha twin. I love it. Nice job.
In a straight line unbeatable!
You can definitely be my neighbor !! What a beautiful husky 👍
Very impressive!, sort of makes me wonder what a KTM 300 twin (two 150cc cylinders) would run like.
Nice two stroke twin
Boy that 500 sure doesn't have the booming rap of the 400 single. I'd still like to try her out. P.S. Thanks!
Very nice job, amazing bike.

Absolutely terrifying and fascinating at the same time. If the wicked witch of the west had a motorcycle, this would be it
