  • In this video we get out on the trail to test out the newly installed CYC X1 Stealth Gen 3 ebike conversion motor. The CYC X1 Stealth motor is installed on a used TREK FUEL 2 Mountain bike and running a 52v battery. Terry transforms this average mountain bike into a full suspension trail riding machine....today is test day. #ebike #ebikeconversion

Just assembled, 2019 Specialized Enduro 29, been for 1 ride and WoW this rips, even still jumps good, I do a lot of bush tech and so had to have a motor out of the way for large log hops. This CYC Stealth is perfect. Thanks to Venture Scooters in New Zealand for letting me see if it would fit and supplying the 48v 20Ah battery

Do you find the stealth Is enough power or do you think the X1 pro would have been better?

X1 pro 72v here. Scary fast. Hit 52mph with more to go.
F the jump complaints. Getting old is a B

Amen, x1 pro here as well. Did the HP calculations and 300rpm at crank w/ 250n.m is 14.3 hp. A 300cc motorcycle is about 14 hp. Makes it easier to explain to people who ask “how fast is that thing!?”

That looks like a nice frame to use for the conversion. I bought a used Intense M6 and used the same components you did. Im still working out the settings using the phone app but it rips. Do you have any issues with high temps? If I do a long pull on high power setting it gets pretty hot on throttle ,not a problem when peddling. Good job on your conversion looks like fun.

Thanks for the video. How do you think the motor would handle getting hit e.g. when getting over a log or a rock?

I don't think you would really want to be riding it over a log, it's on pretty secure though.

Have you installed this motor on a carbon frame? Mixed reviews on whether or not to convert to carbon.
