Tom Pickering and Alan Taylor discuss when braid should be used and the advantages it gives. They also look at the advantages of using just mono on the reel when feeder fishing.
Is the difference in experience here that Tommy would be using braid for feeder fishing using quiver tips, Alan may be using it for specimen carp where slack line is more common 🤔
@@davidclarke1429 it needs to be banned for carp. It has 0 stretch and you would loose more fish than you would catch anyway. 0 stretch means more hook pulls which mean more damage to the fish
Just love reading the subtitles while listening to Alan.
Good discussion. Never used braid but know more about it now. Cheers.

It depends on thicknes. I love using 0.16 braid for spin and feeder, but 0.30 for catfish is f.nightmare
ive used a few different brands of braid over the last few years ,, in my opinion the Drennan acolyte braid takes some beating
Which mini big pits are you using?
All fishing line sinks with a weight attached
Banned on most carp waters. Won’t be long until is is banned everywhere else.
It’s always amazes me in fishing! Anything that works or makes fishing easier/better for us anglers, it gets banned😱
@@davep6286 The banning culture is ridiculous in the UK. Not just in fishing either.
Why?.

Yes mate, totally agree for carp ,for feeder fishing on difficult bream waters it"s unbeatable.
I'm more of a stockings man myself.
No wonder you're losing your hair Tommy lol
Yeah that’s the way to be with customers. Laugh at your customers because they don’t know more than you about fishing. Arrogant if you ask me.
They're just Yorkshireman it's not their fault😉
Is there any truth in the rumour that lads who use braid tend to go bald.🧑🦲
