- It was a tough reading month for both Joel and me, but we have books to talk about and plans to cover regardless! Expand for more information. 👇
NOTE: I completely forgot about A Man Called Ove, which I read in March. And I forgot to mention that the April selection for the Queer TBR Tackle is City of Night by John Rechy. Oops!

Love to see Joel and Jamie in various videos. Came for Greg, stayed for the entire family 😊
Thank you--that's very kind!
The theme of Lord of the Flies stays with the reader for a long time.
It definitely does.
So glad you enjoyed 84, Charing Cross Road! Sounds like both of your reads were exactly what you needed this month. Continued good thoughts for Jamie -- and you and Joel. Don't worry about videos for us while you're away.
Thank you so much. ♥️
So glad you both enjoyed Legends & Lattes and found it comforting!
Me too! It was very well needed.
I hope it’s the best version of the 2 weeks you’re hoping for . Ty for another lovely video 📕🪱💚
Thank you! ❤️
Have a great trip! Great to see both of you.
Thank you!
I love when you do the wrap-ups together! I needed to read some not so heavy books in March. I needed a break after Demon Copperhead and The Rabbit Hutch. One surprise for me was Hawk Mountain by Conner Habib (former porn actor). It was not your run of the mill thriller! I can't stop thinking about it. I also read The Golden Spoon and found it to be a nice palate cleanser. If you are looking for something fun, and trashy ( in a good way) check out My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing and One of Us is Dead by Jeneva Rose (Real Housewives on steroids). My April reads are The House of Eve by Sadequa Johnson and The Bright Lands by John Fram. Prayers for Jamie, Greg, and Joel ❤️.
The Golden Spoon is definitely a good palate cleanser. I've heard many good things about Hawk Mountain and recently found a copy in my local used bookstore, so I picked it up (but haven't read it). Thank you so much for the support. ❤️
Lord of the Flies is such a great book - glad you enjoyed it. The Escoffery is one I’d like to get to at some point. Happy reading!
Happy reading!
I had to read Lord of the Floes for O’level English literature at 16 ( 1979). Once read, never forgotten.
Best books read in March
Fellowship Point by Alice Elliott Dark

Lord of the Flies is definitely a book that stays with you.
Have a safe trip ! :)
Thanks!
legends and latte is such a cute read!! hope april is a good reading month for you and joel :)
Thank you so much!
I think you both actually read quite a lot considering what a challenging month you had. And yes, Lord of the Flies is pretty shocking if you go in not knowing much about it. Yikes! Continued healing wishes for Jamie and hope all goes well on your trip.
I was definitely surprised by how well we did despite everything. Thank you for the support!
Hi Greg, bit of a long time watcher, but first time commenter here. I just read a book that I think you will both love, based on you enjoying Albert Entwistle by Matt Cain so much. It's called Arthur & Teddy Are Coming Out by Ryan Love and follows a grandad and his grandson who are both in the process of coming out. If it's not on your radar already, it should be!
I actually pre-ordered Arthur and Teddy from a store in the UK! It will hopefully be waiting for me when we get home from Washington. It sounds so good!
Wonderful month!
It had some good reads for sure!
Love the t-shirt! 🙂
I got to see Gwendolyn Brooks once. Listening to her reading her own poems was astounding.
Continued best wishes to you and Joel and Jamie.
Thank you. That's so cool that you were able to see Brooks! I bet she did an amazing job reading her work.
Wishing you the best for the two weeks to come! 🤞🏻❤
Thank you so much! ♥️
Good morning. I didn't read many books because I was trying to read many long books. Two of them were The Deluge by Stephen Markley and Underworld by Don DeLillo. I really enjoyed both of them. I also read This Other Eden by Paul Harding. I think it will be a contender for next year's Pulitzer Prize. It will haunt me for a long time. Thank you Greg for bringing it to my attention. Prayers for Greg, Joel and Jamie.
Thank you. ❤️
I really want to read This Other Eden once I'm ready for heavier books again. It sounded great and several people have read and loved it. I've only read one book by Don DeLillo and hated it, so I never tried Underworld. Maybe I should reconsider. 🤔🧐
Sending positive thoughts and lots of love to Jamie, as well as both of you ❤
Thank you so much. ❤️
Continuing to send Jamie all my best healing energy.
So glad you enjoyed 84 Charring Cross Road. I saw the film first and then sought out the book several years ago. Both so charming and touching.
Just picked up Legends and Lattes from my library and looking forward to tucking in to it this week.
Good luck in Pullman. ❤
Thank you! ❤️
I hope you enjoy Legends and Lattes.
I ended up seeing the movie first because Joel was so eager after he read the book. Reading the book hammered in how well Anthony Hopkins and Anne Bancroft were cast because I could hear their voices all the way through.
You both read more than I did, ( the slump continues) especially considering all you had going on. Best to you both and love for Jamie.
I was surprised by how much we did manage to read because it felt like we got nothing done. Thank you for the support!
As usual, a delightful video with you and Joel. I know your pain with Jaime, as my 15 year old dog, Kricket, is having a tumor removed next week. I am really beside my self. This is a hard decision to have to make. My thoughts and prayers are with you three. Have a safe trip!!!
It's so hard. I will be wishing you and Kricket the best! Hang in there. ❤️
💚💚💚

I really enjoy books in translation and murder mystery not so much but I would recommend The Aosawa Murders by Riku Onda and translated Allison Watts so good I quickly ordered her next Fish in Dappled Sunlight. Still sitting on the shelf
Thanks for the recommendations!
31 days til the Pulitzer is announced!!
I gasped when I read that. Seriously.
