    At 8:46 you can see that you cracked the housing... did it leak after install?

    Do we really need to replace the plastic part that goes into the engine ?

    The brass threaded inserts on the housing(engine side)can loosen up on you when removing or installing new thermostat. Dont over tighten. As such, not a bad idea to get the thermostat case and housing too. Recommend replacing the o ring too since you already have that apart.

    Hi there question, is it possible to already connect and torque the thermostat on the houseing and install as one unit?

    why did he take the back housing off the block when the point was to replace the thermostat? Couldn't you just take the front piece off, replace the thermostat without removing everything else?

    The metal outlet from the engine makes the thermostat housing to not line up...I hope there won't be any leaks 😮

    Great video but . . the torque settings you ask for are 7-8 ft/lbs, but the torque wrench you link to has a minimum torque of 25 ft/lbs - any links to a lower torque wrench?

    Is it necessary to torque the housing or can the screws be snugged in

    • @swootswoot1162
      @swootswoot1162 2 роки тому

      they should be torqued down, if they are snugged in the unit may leak coolant from the gasket not creating a good enough seal

    I'm wondering how you're able to reach that area without removing other stuff. Coz that space is very tight😮😮😮
