Great sliders! My grandmother was from Missouri and used to cook up ho cakes. She told me that back in the day these cakes were actually cooked on the blade of a ho.
Anyway, KILLER cook Rus! I would love to give these a try!

Ballistic BBQ Thanks Greg, and that is exactly right about how the hoe cakes got there name. We had them growing up on a regular basis, and I still make them from time to time. It's like cornbread, but doesn't crumble like corn bread. I can eat them all by themselves. Thanks for stopping by brother :)

And Johnny Cakes may have evolved from the name "Journey Cakes", because they were easy to travel with (or make on the road)

Oh, man, I love to do pork belly. I use the "sacrificial vegetables" too, like you do. Another great liquid to use (not drink, though) is Redd's Wicked Red Apple Ale. This stuff imparts a great flavor to the pork belly.

Not me, I dread summer every year! Fall, Winter and Spring for me, I just have to suffer through the Summer, but I do enjoy the fresh produce this time of the year

Smoky Ribs i hear ya, and i agree. also with the climate going haywire, the seasons become so intense. very little mild summer nights, only brutal heat.
