Great video, my friend in high school had a Tasigur deck that was definitely not optimized, but could stomp after turn 3. Ive wanted to build one of these for a while and your commentary on the strategies and cards helps a lot in making decisions.
@@CommanderPhilosophy and I'll be here to binge watch all of them 🫡 I do a lot of double shifts at work so it's nice to have these kind of videos to keep my magic brain in order 😂
I got tasigur cause I love Sultai, so I wanted all 3 of the Tarkir Sultai legends (I count Silumgar as one Ik he’s Dimir)- now I finally have a deck for him! This is dope
I'm taking inspiration from this and applying it to my "The Master, Transcendent" deck. I love birthing pod and I kinda forgot about whip. I use to play it back in theros block. It had a really cool interaction with Obzedat, Ghost Council's blink ability ignoring the downside of whip. Remembering that, Conjurer's Closet would be a spicy include. Save your whip creature and get more ETBs.
That would be a really cool interaction with Closet honestly. Adds a little extra depth into the deck too even if it’s not applied with Whip because of all the ETBs in the deck. By all means, go for it!
They’re one time effects that are a little hard to recur in the deck. The deck can be shifted around to support these cards though and can definitely be utilized even without editing! It was something I considered for a bit, but liked trying to keep Pod-effects more permanent based.
I highly recommend neoform and eldrich, along with tutors they add to consistency. Personally I use them on early tasigur for koma, toxrill, or nezahal. They are more meant for abusing tasigur cmc then any other card.
I like the deck, birthing pod being one of my favorite cards. I understand the necessity of stopping graveyard hate hence the stifle and the Disallow, wouldnt Voidslime and tale's end be better choices over stifle? Voidslime is functionally a second copy of Disallow, and tale's end is a stifle that can counter most commanders?
They definitely could be swapped, Stifle is just a personal favorite. I actually debated on Tale’s End and decided on Stifle for its low-cost effectiveness. Honestly, slotting out the normal Counterspell for one of these two could make a lot of sense!

Well hopefully it’s a good outline, by all means take the deck and rearrange however you feel is best. And best of luck for your games in the future!
Following at instant speed, your deck building process is super similar to mine I love how in depth you get with it!
Honestly, I’m incredibly thankful for the support. Hopefully I’ll have more in the future that will catch your eye.

@@CommanderPhilosophy yeah exactly 😎
Any particular reason for no neo form or eldritch evolution on top of current pod effects?

@@CommanderPhilosophy perfectly valid reasoning, mana cost always needs to be taken into account
Everythings a 7
I’ll try this :) will let you know
Sounds good! The deck should be listed in the description. I would run it on Tapped Out or Copy/Paste into your own site and make changes to fit you.
would you slot in the new birthing ritual in this deck?
Most definitely! I was thinking about how much I hate when I make a deck and a new card is perfect for the deck.
