Back in June 2019 on the same day we visited the Secret Blue Lake, we also went to Dolgoch Falls near Tywyn. With the busy summer that we had the vlog never not released. With January being all depressing and and cold, with not much happening. I thought I'd upload this to remind us of the nice summer we had.

Dolgoch falls is such a beautiful place, the Tallylyn railway that runs through there is a lovely little railway. That’s where Rev.W.Audrey wrote the original Thomas The Tank Engine books, and it was based on the Tallylyn railway. Great video
hey nice, i never realised that. ive seen the train a few times and think I may have been on there when I was really young according to my Dad. But i dont remember it
@@AshThomasFilms yeah it’s a great railway, one of the oldest preserved lines in the UK. I love that area, my parents own a caravan in Talybont near Barmouth, grew up holidaying there! Such a beautiful place. The Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog railways are nice too.

Nice. How long does it take to walk to the Dolgoch falls from the carpark?
To the first waterfall it’s probably 5 minutes if that. After that then you keep walking up through the others which prob takes about 20/30 min to the top.

Is this actually on shell island or nearby? All the times I've been to shell island I've never found these! 😯
They are near Tywyn. Probably about an hour from Shell island. There are lots of different things around. Shell Island is a good base for all of them. Check out the beach that whistles next time you go!
