      Spencer Cross I couldn't agree more about eating healthier and knowing what is in your food or not. There is nothing wrong with a clean kill and utilizing every part of the animal possible. We enjoy teaching and including our grandchildren in the process of raising our animals for food and gardening. We feel it is very important for children to understand how precious life is animal or human and the importance of giving them the best lives possible before they are harvested to feed us. If you go through life only shopping for your foods and never experiencing the fulfilling experience and needed skill to survive in a shaky world you are missing out. We love our animals and love feeding our family and are so proud of our children starting their own homesteads now. Take care everyone and Happy Holidays.

But the most important ... those are his only weapons (his antlers) which will have a deer skeleton blocking his growth. Antler growth can also be inhibited, growing inwards instead of outwards. Which is what naturally happens.

      KoivuTheHab "And a possibly troll"? Really? Go back to grammar school, hon.
      Oh you need to feed your family? Well, you can take the same money you used to buy this computer, and buy those bullets and that gun (since you're too weak to kill anything with your bare hands, like every other predator), go to the store and buy your family food. See how that works when you live in the 21st century? You have choices!
      You're not tarzan living in the forest, with a clan to fed, you're a man living in modern society, with a healthy gut, and a Mcdonald's cup sitting in your car's cupholder. Please get back in touch with reality. You're not part of the food chain, especially when the one in the united states is conditioned by wildlife services so hunters can have deer to kill by deer season. 'Survival of the fittest', my sweet black ass. Oh, and you're not really a hunter, you're a teenager sitting in front of a computer screen, desperate for attention.

      As far as your assertion that buying store-bought meat is unnatural, for all it's worth air-conditioning, your computer, and your wifi is not found in the wild. But even more specifically, the guns and bullets you buy, along with the truck which runs on the factory-refined liquids of dead dinosaurs, you use to drive out into the wilderness to shoot deer, isn't at all natural either. You cannot selectively choose what activities you want to do with the argument of 'it's natural', while demising the rest of your unnatural existence that you participate in without second thought. Its called being a hypocrite. You want natural? Live in the woods, without modern technology, make all you weapons by the twigs and sticks available and live off the land. Build your house out of mud and leaves, and run around without any clothes on. Bathe in the river, if not at all. That _is_ how our hunter-gatherer ancestors lived, you know. However.. Until then, your argument is completely irrelevant and invalid.
      _Something that tree huggers don't understand is that there is nothing natural about having animals in cages and then putting them in a tin at the factory."_
      And you think I advocate factory farming, because I don't support fucks like you?
      And yes, I hug trees, proudly. Got a problem? I name them too, but I also advocate humane hunting practices, over any type of animal agriculture any day.
      Taking advantage of an animal who's trapped and who's clearly in distress and has no possible way to defend himself is hunting like a complete emasculate coward. Theodore Roosevelt himself, who killed completely for sport, refused to shoot a wounded bear. And any self-respecting huntsman would do the exact same thing.
      _"hunt for food, that's my choice. If you have a problem with that then boo hoo, cry me a river.."_
      It's not the fact that you're hunting, idiot. Its the fact that you feel it's ok to sadistically take advantage of creatures who are clearly less powerful than you and are not in any position to protect themselves. Which mean 'fair chase' the goal and purpose of hunting in the first place is completely obliterated.
      I won't cry you a river, but I will call you a bitch. Only cowards 'hunt' distressed animals.

    • @ashleycasey2093
      @ashleycasey2093 9 років тому

      KoivuTheHab The majority of your reply insists of carping, which in turns show how little you know how to defend your own argument. If you cannot refute arguments against your points, then don't make them. But being nit picky is being a bitch, much like your 'hunting' skills.
      _''Humans made gun so we could hunt since we'd have to do it with our bare hands" - I've never said that, please learn how to copy and paste so that you don't embarrass yourself"._
      This is what you wrote by quote _"Guns and bullets are centuries old inventions, like you stated earlier humans aren't good at catching pray with their bare hands"_
      It's called paraphrasing, have you written papers to know how you don't have to take things word for word to make an argument? If not, this answer alone (that didn't even refute to my points brought up), only embarrasses yourself and again, shows what coward you are.
      _"I have no obsession with living a natural life, to be honest I don't care about that at all."_
      but you wrote [in quote] --> "It's crystal clear I live a much more natural life than you do. Feel free to be jealous"
      _"No I'm not racist, thanks for asking. My grandfather worked in Congo as a diplomat in the ~60's but he wasn't really a hunter and certainly didn't hunt humans."_
      And what was your point of bringing up that I was lucky to not be born in the fifties, where white people would 'hunt' me?
      _"Aaaah and then the discussion goes on about zoophilia, that's very mature, well done! So much relevance, oh the irony"_
      How did this refute anything I said? Oh wait, it didn't.
      As far as relevance goes, you mean like the relevance of bringing up the fact that white people would hunt black people, when we were talking about shooting deer? So when I answer your non-topic, I'm not on topic. How laughably stupid. Along with growing a pair, grow a brain too, cunty.
      _"I never did, please practise on your reading comprehension skills. It's not as much hunting as it is simply obtaining meat and getting food on the table for your family."_
      And as I said--> oh you need to feed your family? Well, you can take the same money you used to buy this computer, and buy those bullets and that gun (since you're too weak to kill anything with your bare hands, like every other predator), go to the store and buy your family food. See how that works when you live in the 21st century? You have choices!
      _"Africa where there are a lot of professional hunters with a lifetime of experience in the field. I've literally met 100's of hunters in my lifetime and I can guarantee you that any hunter will laugh at you if you tell them that hunters don't shoot wounded animals, weak animals or animals in distress."_
      _"You know nothing about hunting or hunters, that's very obvious."_
      'Professional hunters'? You mean the fuckers who shoot endangered species for fun, when the earth is *in the middle of a sixth mass extinction crises*? That really didn't help your cause. Oh I'm quite sure they don't give a fuck. No need to tell me that. I happened to be talking about the hunters who actually give a flying fuck about animal welfare and wildlife.
      And as far as your assertion goes, my daddy's from west Africa, and hunts deer, along side 1000s of professional hunters who mount these animals on the wall. And they would all laugh at you for being a bitch and call you a cunt to your face for shooting a animal in the distress. They say this is completely destroys the point of 'fair chase' which is the goal of sport hunting in the first place. What's your point? Don't get involved with the opinions of others if you know nothing about it. Hunt like a man, and not like a bitch.

      Its rare, but wild animals do die of old age. I once saw an old horse sit down in a field behind the rest of its herd, and it never got back up again. I didnt see any limping or behavior linked to disease, since ive had my eye on them since early spring, and he just.. Went. It aint common but it does happen, to those lucky few given as long as that old horse did. I suppose its different for most game animals, what with hunters and such.
      An arrow or bullet can be fast, and painless, but the numbness and release in death can also be incredibly peaceful if youre ready to go.

    to bad they didn't have a pr of bolt cutters or something to saw that dead bucks horn loose. Its a wonder the live buck didn't break him own neck trying to get free.

      i dont know, i think it takes a pretty extreme impact to break a deer's neck

    • @AlphaTengua
      @AlphaTengua 5 років тому

      that would have been extremely dangerous he said he had a saw in the truck. but the other deer was moving too much for it to be safely done.

      +Chris Phelps Ok, but if the other one was caught, wasn't he also game for them ? or were they only satisfied with the one and just dodging the antlers.. I live in the suburbs so I'm just tryin to figure it out, lol

      +Remnant Soldier coyote are mostly scavengers they usually only hunt smaller animals

    • @waldoman7

      dead prey is still easier than live prey, and coyotes aren't exactly wolves. a deer is pretty friggin big for them

    • @AtarashiNOhi
      @AtarashiNOhi 8 років тому +2

      +Remnant Soldier Not only do they hunt smaller animals, they also eat the ones that are already dead. The other buck being alive would still have the strength to fight it off.

    • @HardRockMiner

      Tony B - 100% positive. It works for birds, horses, and a bunch of other animals too. We had tons of deer around my home when I was a kid and occasionally we'd find fawns or young deer tangled in our fences... My dad would use pillow cases to cover their heads and they would calm right down. Seen it done probably over 100 times.
