    My hats off to you man. It takes some skill to fly fish a small stream with a lot of shrubbery. I fish a lot small creaks in Wisconsin where there is little space for back casting. Well worth it but not for a beginner.

    Great video. I love little streams!!!! They have the wildest trouts, surely not so big, but wild. Very compliments!

    Brilliant to watch. I live in Monte Carlo now and watching this reminds me of Summer nights, on the hillside streams, back home in the Pennine Hills in Lancashire. Can't wait to get back there in the summer an sneak a few out on a dry.

    Great little video. God how I miss England and this type of fishing I did so much of in Yorkshire as a young man. I fear for the future of my homeland . . .

      As an expat living the west indies, I miss. Sea trout at night on the Towy in june. Draught Guinness, Donna kebabs...oh, shooting a buck at daybreak. My heart is heavy with what is happening at home.

    this is all what you need: no soundtrack or music just sound of water and sparkle of light, steady cam, bugs above, your fly, the take .

    Great video I fish a small wild brown trout river in Ireland, Zero room for casting but its the best fishing ever, a trout 1lb is a very good fish indeed in these rivers. once your in the water you see so much more to, the wildlife really seems to accept you a lot better.

    A feast for the eyes. Beautiful little stream, with so much life in and above the water. Looks like some of the tiny streams that I enjoy fishing here in Victoria, Australia.
    Cheers,
    Steve

    Beautiful footage, creatively shot and as always a thorough joy to watch. That stream looks jam packed with features and wonderfully intimate.

    Very well done video Buddy. I have no idea where you were, but, I could easily get lost there for a week and not think anything of it. When I get tired, I would just prop myself against a tree and have a nap. Of course, I would need my usual fair of fishing food. Ham sandwiches on Kaiser Buns and cold beer. That stream looks as tho it can keep a few cans of beer cool for a while.

    What a heavenly evening--birdsong, dappled, fading light, the gurgling of your mystery stream...I want to do this! Can a 53 year old woman learn how to fly-fish?!

    • @ZGADOW
      @ZGADOW 9 років тому +1

      Lynne Perkins anyone can learn if they want to. it's really not so hard. go to howtoflyfish.orvis.com they're super helpful

    • @terryashton9213
      @terryashton9213 8 років тому

      +Lynne Perkins Yes, do it Lynne. Don't have any wishes left on your Bucket List. It is not as difficult as some may let on that it is. As in anything, practice makes perfect, and anything worth while usually hurts a bit. In the end, you will find that Fly Fishing, Nature, and the description that you typed seems to have hit the nail on the hard perfectly, it rejuvenates your Soul and Spirit. Where ever you live, do a search for any local Fly Clubs, and join up. That will be a great start for you. I'm 58 in a week and still Fishing. I plan on doing it until I can no longer walk. Figure that with any luck, I still have a good decade or so in me. Be careful tho. Fly Fishing can be Addictive. You may find yourself using up some sick days from work in the Summer. Altho, catching fish is the main idea, and the challenge that using a Fly Rod and Flies that it represents, some days you will get skunked, more often than not, but you will still walk away knowing that you had a great day. Nothing like the fresh air, the sound of birds twittering and the gentle babble of the stream or brook, and you will drift into a deep sleep later on that is difficult to reproduce with anything else.

    Nice, just got to love small streams and wild trout. I do this in the highlands of southeast Australia, where 1 to1 1/2lb is the average and boy do they put up a fight.

    Hello again,
    Using such a short rod, how long was your leader? I've sometimes used very short ones around 3 to 4 feet on tiny streams. The trout dont seem to mind!
    Cheers,
