After seeing this, I pulled out the score I did for this back in January, 1979. What a trip. Talk about an obscure recording! Greg Rogers, Terry George, and all the cool people. Recorded at Sound Suite in Detroit. I know Marcus Belgrave was one of the trumpet players, and Ernie Rodgers played baritone sax. Sydney Coleman was the 1st violinist/string contractor. The background singers were the fabulous Brandye. Executive producer was John Neville. Terry Tuck engineered. The singer here is Ila Coates, gospel singer from Detroit. I just discovered that percussionist Carl "Butch" Small played on this. I remember he was such a great guy and consummate professional. It took him one take, I remember - - though I'd forgotten his name until ten minutes ago when I found his info in my musicians card file.
