I have been wearing suits regularly since I was a teenager. I am 52 currently and recently went to work at a Jos A Bank location. I must have nearly 40 suits, all of which are very nice. The MAJORITY of those are $10 Goodwill finds. So far, I have found a Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Pierre Cardin, Ralph Lauren, 2 Jos A Banks, and a gorgeous cobalt blue Tommy Hilfiger. All in great shape and all $10!! I have learned so much already from watching your videos. I kinda had to learn myself as our tailor unexpectedly quit. These vids have been PRICELESS!
After just touching a sewing machine for the first time 2 wks ago I have already had a go at making two garments. YT recommended me one of your videos and you have really opened my eyes! What a huge motivation you are sir! I want to go out and buy secondhand clothes ASAP and start some alterations! Thank-you for your amazing content.
Thank you so much man!I just wanted to suggest another separate video on how to properly adjust the fit of the dress pants and how to put markings on it!love your videos man
Great video again and I would like to learn how to alter a vest, I'm going to keep watching your other videos until I can get the concepts down I'm still altering my other cloths
Yes thank you so much! I think I’m at a point where I’m comfortable tapering trousers evenly with a center crease but suit jackets are still a bit difficult. Knowing how to unstitch and restitch a fully lined suit is something I still don’t know how to do comfortably, nevertheless would love to see more content like this but a tad bit more in depth. Thank you Lou!
Awesome work! Love your videos. If it’s not too personal, what area are you in? Pitt? I’m in Johnstown... Now I have something to do in the winter months when dirt biking is off the table. Making my clothes finally fit after all these years is a great stress relief.

Very cool! As someone who's still quite a beginner I liked seeing how you marked and hand sewed on the cuff buttons. Great color choices by the way.

Excellent.
If I were someone just starting to explore clothing alterations where would you suggest I begin to develop some foundational skills.
Do you own a machine already?
@@AspiringGent I do not. To be entirely honest, I sewed my first button today. Ha! But my in-laws do have a machine and I could potentially use that.

Thank you!
