Such a cute Squirrel Man. Thanks for the trip to the shops.
You bet
There's a lot of beautiful things in that place
Great marbles , the face ones too! That crock is a stunner. Squirrel man is the best. Pretty blanket!
Good to see you enjoying some quality time with your mom. I bet she looks forward to spending the time out with you searching for antiques. Very good video. Good to see spoiled Squirrel Man as always chowing down on his nuts and fruit. Thanks for sharing.
So many nice things!! Beautiful crock and marbles! I like the candy containers!Squirrel man looks sweet as ever! Thank you or the trip.
What a beautiful town Sistersville is! And what gorgeous marbles! That crock leaves me speechless. It's amazing! Love that Squirrel Buddy!💖
Yea that crock is something special. It is one of those pieces you probably wont see again. I tired to buy it....but it wasnt for sale. But at least I got to film it so others can see it.
What a fun place, I love the crock. What an awesome story.
It really is!
I am happy that Squirrel Man loves his new crotched blanket . ( Yes I am one of the Twin Diggers)
Nice Antique shop. Squirrel Man still rocks!! Thanks!! Hope it warms up for you soon!!
Thanks rocks that was awesome again. Really cool stores.
You are Welcome. I got to arrowhead hunt today....it warmed up.
Thanks for taking us along. El Chapo is on the diet, eh? hahaa. Thanks, Rocks. Always smokin'.
Rocks, Love the trips to the antique store. Glad you got to see the crock....boy, that is nice. I liked the candy containers too. So inexpensive sir! Been digging in Southern Arizona, the past few months is the season (70-80's). Got a few old marbles and a few local pharmacy bottles from about 1900-10. Later Rocks
Awesome man. I should be able to get back on a dump this week. I went arrowhead hunting again today....Ill have on an arrowhead hunting video tomorrow. I may go try and dig some bottles later this week. I wish it was warmer here. The weather has been horrible this month---It is at least in the 40's here now
Squirll man is a dandy had to watch this one again. Have a great week Rocks.
Haha I love hearing Squirrel Man eat his fruit...Nom Nom Nom lol. Love the marbles, gonna look the face marble guy up! Thanks for sharing your outings with your mom! Like seeing the history.
hahaha yea. I noticed those sounds too. The mic is much better on that new camera. The gopro does not pick that up.
Very cool stuff!!!
Really neat crock cool to see
Squirrel man is eater cool little buddy you got ther.
That was a nice store in Sistersville! I saw a bunch of stuff I would have liked to buy. You made my day putting the Squirrel Man on! I sure love that pretty boy! 💖💖 That sure was a beautiful crock they had...
Very entertaining to watch the Sisterville adventure, arrowheads, and dump diggin. So much shoveling, gotta watch for those cave ins too. Thanks for the video and squirrel man. He’s the coolest.
Alsome marbles and walkthrough shopping spree The croc was nice rocks. Those two little yellow Vaseline glasses were nice they were made with uranium correct so they would fluores Squirrel 🐿️ man looks happy.
Squirrel Man is looking good.
Great video.
Good to see ya out with your mom.
Be safe
Enjoyed window shopping with you and your Mom. Really like your purchases. The little pig bank is an Anchor Hocking item that was in production for many years. It was made at the Phoenix Glass plant in Monaca , PA up until about the mid 90's, if I'm not mistaken (I might be). It is machine-made. A larger size was also made; almost twice as large, but looks 95% identical. Squirrel-man would've liked the little glass squirrel. Lol. It is a nice little glass piece.
thank you for the info
Beautiful place . The town looks vintage but beautiful. Love to see more. Thank you 😊
Yes. It was an oil boom town in the 1870's to 1890's. There were hundreds of oil wells in the town. All those nice old buildings were built in that time period by Oil Barons that lived in the town
There are some beautiful old towns if you just start driving down along the river .
Loved the tour. Awesome old buildings. Squirrel Man looks great 👍
Thanks 👍 Ill have on an arrowhead hunting video day after tomorrow. I got to hunt today...it warmed up.
Looking forward to seeing it. Still out of service here in New Jersey. Waiting for snow to melt....
That squirrel's livin the sweet life!
hahaha yea....he does have it made. He would be outside freezing if he wasnt in here.
It was real interesting to see sistersville after watching you dig all those coke bottles from there. 👍
Yea. I will go to the coke plant and film it in a future trip there. I know right where they were made. They also made Alley Agate Marbles in the building for short period of time
Haven't been on here for a bit, but loved the crock and the visit to the emporium. You're darn right those prices are great! The town looks just like some of the small towns near us here in upstate NY. Say hi to your mom for us! Squirrel man is looking great too!
Going shopping again I love it
I like the marbles at 3:16,,,the one in the first row looks like an egg yolk oxblood almost,,,great video bro,,,,😎🙏🏼
Strange the antiques were no longer there, but, there are marbles and a rare salt glazed crock. That made the trip worth it. So many things I would of bought. Glad I’m in Connecticut. I would of definitely spent some money. Lol lol Squirrel man so cute like always. Thank you for the trip. Later, Joyce🇺🇸. ARROW *🎱. ❤️. 🐿.
Yea. The guy who owns that store told me like 80% of his business was furniture....so they decided to fill the store with furniture instead of antiques. I get it.....they have to make money and they deliver all over the place for free in trucks. So they move a ton of furniture like couches and recliners. Not many people have the money to buy antiques anymore. Most people just need to the necessary items....like furniture. Things are so expensive. That is the problem. It is hard to make a living selling antiques unless you are running them in large volume on places like Etsy and Ebay. A retail store for antiques is a money pit
Thanks for the video thanks for showing the crock and the history the marbles were cool that sucks about the antique mall at least you were able to find something that scotty dog is awesome i have a candy container too its a Turkey its little i love those you have a good one 👍😎
I had one of those pig banks exactly like that when I was a kid. Very cool. Tony.
I should have probably bought that. I find piece of them in dumps....I know I just found one within the last year about like it on the 1950's and 1960's dump I was digging marbles on. It would have been cool to show in a video when I find another broken one.
Loved the video! Loved seeing Squirrel Man!
Thank You. I will have on a video tomorrow when I get up. I have been arrowhead hunting on the river some the last few days
Kiwi!! What a spoiled little squirrel. So cute.
ahhaah yea....he is big time spoiled
Thanks for taking us along enjoyed it🏹
Thanks man. That is just what I do when I cannot go digging. It warmed up today....I got to arrowhead hunt....I ended up making 2 arrowhead hunting videos today. I will launch the first one day after tomorrow
I noticed in a couple of videos ago that in that antique store that he had some marbles in jars. In your opinion are they worth buying?
@@thearrowheadreapers8668 That shop in New Matamoras those were worth it. They were cheap....only like 10 bucks a jar. They were a mix of NEW and vintage marbles. But for the vintage marbles in the jar they were worth the price
Thank your Rock's I'll give him a holler👍
Guess you’ll have to locate and dig the old Sistersville dump next. The matching crock is out there. Ha!
From what those guys in those stores told me....people dug on them in the 1960's. The bad thing is all are on private land. Getting permissions or trying to is a pain. Id say the best on is on the river someplace along the town.....but all that got filled in with dirt and rock in most places. I will see what I can do. I think the best digging spots in that town are Privys. None of them have been dug
Roc's what a great video, seeing Jim king at work was a treat but then to see those amazing marbles being made and his displays of what he as made, really mind blowing creative genius they looked stunning, and getting to see that Croc, was an added treat and we're so glad that you captured the Croc and the story which goes with it, that's definitely archive footage well done and thank you for showing us sisterville town it looks a lovely quaint place and looks like it's been in a few films? The store had some really wonderful collectables and there prices bargains, and we noticed little man had lost a some weight we could tell, we said that to each other just before you said it in the video lol, he's got super star ✨ status for being so cute and funny thank you for bringing us an awesome video, and the glass dog's nice spotting, both you and your mom have some wonderful things, thank you for giving us viewer's a wonderful video, stay safe and warm take care as we care 👍✊👍✊
Love Sistersville back in the day had lunch in the dinner when that was a drug store. The oil boom helped hope they have the marble festival this year
That last store was really nice. I couldn't believe the prices. I liked the Scotty Dog too, bet it made your Mom smile. The story of that crock & how it got home was pretty cool. Keep warm, we where without power here in Texas for over 30 hours. Enjoyed you taking us with you, till next time ! :~)
I know...I couldnt either. That was half or retail on most of the items or more.
The architecture on those old buildings so much cooler than the new ones.
Yea....that town has some nice buildings. I forgot to go film the outside of that hotel...I will try and remember next time I go down there
I was thinking the same thing! What a cool town!
Small town USA! Funny how similar it looks to Hawley, honesdale pa over my way. Great video..pretty crazy how cheap everything was, some real cool stuff for a steal!
The Mexican bookends are probably made out of onyx instead of marble. Cool that you were able to see and film that rare sistersville crock.
Those marbles were beautiful, about every antique store I have ever been in always has a Mason jar full of marbles do you think most are junk I cant imagine them putting anything of value in them I have learned a lot about marbles on your channel but not enough to just waist money . I can look all day in antique stores after about a half hour my wife starts crossing her arms and giving me that look are you done yet .
Yea I have not found a Mason Jar full of good marbles since the 1990's. It almost never happens for me either.
Love the video Rocks
Those marbles are wild
Yea I thought so too. Those face marbles were really unique. The guy is on facebook and has videos of marbles on there. Some of them are just insane cool
I have the bulldog candy container, it has a silver chain around its neck. Was my mother's when she was a little girl.
Squirrel Man is looking good!
Interesting stuff, really liked the marbles. Shame all this snow is throwing a damper on the digging and what not. Its the same here in columbus. Hope your able to get out soon and good luck on the next hunt.
It warmed up today....I got to go out on the river. Found some artifacts too. So I will have on a video again digging day after tomorrow.
I love these video’s, I want that wooden carved elephant box and the piggy bank. I had one of those piggy banks when I was a child. I believe the bank gave those banks away, am I wrong? You are a really sweet son to your mom, she is very lucky to have you. Give Squirrel man a nut and a cheek scratch from me ❤️
Jim King advertises on our local T V station. He sells two sided mattresses, so you can flip it over and use either side. The marble factory there is supposedly the largest one in the U.S. The historic Well's Inn had very good food. It had many different owners and I'm not sure if it's still in business or not.
Squirrel man Rocks
Hey Brother . Good video . I have that bulldog and it still has the candy in it ! Thanks ,,,,, Later ,,,,,
That is awesome. I was suprised those where in there. When we first went in I thought all the items were new......He told me had other old bottles in storage so I may go back and see his other stuff and try to buy his bottles
That was a cool video the crock is likely one of a kind right? I was thinking squirrel man looks a little lighter 😎 he smacks his lips when chewing funny 👍
You know there could be another one in someones collection. But I have not seen one...and I have looked at a bunch of crocks. I know it is the only one ever filmed on the internet like it in a video. I doubt I could find another one for sale if I looked for the next 20 years. I wish I could have bought it. I offered 1000.00. But it wasnt for sale
Dang hopefully one day it will end up in your collection and you never know what is buried out there 👍
Squirrel man Is a prepper
hahaha. He is. He has hundreds of nuts hidden everywhere. Between bath towels.....in corners....under rugs....LOL
He missed his hibernation that's why hes getting so big that and he isn't climbing trees everyday and running from hawks .
USMC 1911 Yeah me neither anymore
@@rutledge1223 ya I me either except for the hibernation.
Not much better to do with the weather we've had. I'm heading south weds to do a little relic hunting. Got cabin fever bad. lol
Yea. It warmed up enough today to go arrowhead hunting and I found stuff. Ill get on a video on Tuesday
@@rockscousteau awesome 👍
One of those marbles looked like Oscar The Grouch
I know....they look like characters from the Muppets 100%
Spose to get some warm weather this week so the ground might soften up!
Yea.....it warmed up enough today I went out on the river and was able to dig...found some ancient artifacts. So i am back on arrowheads at least. I think it is supposed to rain tomorrow...but going to be above freezing......so I will go again
Squirrel man is getting so popular he could have his own You Tube channel.
hahaha. Yea.....he needs to get T-Shits and start selling them so he cane retire to Florida...LOL
I would go there now but I'm up here in Minnesota
Yea...that one place had good prices on stuff.
Hey Rock what's up thanks for the great post just curious as to pick your brain sistersville used to have a awesome marble show around September. I believe the last year I heard anything about it was around 2019. Do you know if it still goes on or anyting about it? Thanks Mr Rock.
😎👍
I have noticed the same thing ,that a few places in my area that use to be filled with Antiques now have more newer items mixed in with some collectables . If you are ever over in Ross County with your Mom antiquing , stop in at the Chillicothe Antiques Emporium . They have lost of great stuff ! BTW: Squirrel Man looks so happy and he's hiding his 'goodies' from you too !

Chewbacca he’s a handsome boy
Squirrel Man's a Buddha. LMAO. Imagine if Steven Strother was making marbles back in the 20's and 30's, those marbles would be worth thousands. Still they are as beautiful as any marble I own. You may want to look across the street up there across from the cemetery on Cemetery Hill Rd. Back in the day people threw their trash near graveyards. Just a thought.
Yea......all the dumps in Sistersville would be private property so that is the only bad thing. It is 50/50 if someone even lets you go in there and dig. I know where the dumps are in that town......but I think they have been dug on in the past. I think the privy's in that town would be the best bet. They are all undug
@@rockscousteau Steven Strother's website monkeyman511@hotmail doesn't have any marbles. I also went to Serenity oddfellows marbles and nothing
@@bruceritchie4382 facebook.com/groups/553610844825158/
he is active. He just posted on his facebook 4 hours ago offering marbles

That is the link above.
Was the Emporium the place that was a combo drug store and restaurant upstairs? Something like that? It's been almost 30 years since I was down there.
Yea...something line that. I am pretty sure it used to be called Phillips Pharmacy up into he early 2000's.
If they had the crock in the back of a cabinet you should have offered to buy it or at least leave a card so when they do sell it
I would have bought it if I could have. It was one of those items they really couldnt sell. They own the building the original store was in.....and that old woman gifted it to them because of that. I offered them 1000.00 on the spot.....but it just wasnt for sale
Jim is my paps
I would love to send you some pictures of the marble that was made by my niece boyfriend he makes marbles all the time I would like to know if you could bring a question
He wasn't FAT, he was just plump. Lol
he has actually slimmed down a good bit from the state he was in. There were a while he was TUBBY....LOL
It was a mob or some marbles
Those marbles are just amazing. Holy cow! Do you personally own any of his marbles? That crock is definitely one of a kind and wouldn't you just love to dig one of those for your mom? I think you would just poop yourself if you found one. Lol Hey Rocks I have a question for you... Do you actually research sanborn maps to find your dumps or do you just use word of mouth and personal knowledge?
Hello! Im Steve Strother II the face marble maker. Great video and thank you for including me! You can find my facebook and Instagram pages at "Serenity Oddfellow Marbles."
I’d freak out to dig something like that out
You will if you find dumps and dig big holes.....you may find 25 crocks that are just as rare. If you start going a bunch....and just straight up working at it.....you will find stuff like that.
Any military stuff???
Not in those places. There was in that prior video to this one. That Kings Corner Place used to have it.....but they dont even sell antiques anymore. That is why I drove all the way up to that town......I had not been there in a good while. Now it is just all furniture. At least I got to film those marbles and that awesome crock.
@@rockscousteau haha, just wondered. That's one of my main interests, but I grew up hunting for arrowheads with my grandpa.
