I had the privilege of attending one of Montero's recording sessions back in 2015, thanks to my friend Ricky Damian who produced this wonderful song and album. Benny Montero and Jay Watson were really nice chaps, that day they were applying some finishing touches especially in the synth and guitar departments. I still have great memories of witnessing Jay playing the guitar solo to this tune on Mark Ronson's Gibson Les Paul (straight to desk via an Ampeg Scrambler fuzz, this was before they added the talkbox and Linn Drum to that section) the guys getting the barmaid from the cafe next door to play violin on some of the tracks and overdubbing her parts into full-fledged ELO string section mode, their obsession with the Crumar Performer synth which gave the album its title...and even at that early, unmixed stage I was amazed and mesmerized by the product. Even then I thought "Vibrations" and all the other tracks were gonna be winners.

When Ben let me listen to Vibrations before it ever came out I was blown away by it's interplanetary wilderness and then it made me cry. He knows how to hit those deep emotions. Ben Montero the artist is beyond prolific even in his young age. If you love the song Vibrations You will love his song Adriana probably. Huge Bright Wild Complex music of many emotions, a music that reflects it's creator so precisely. Ben is one of my best friends and my favorite musicians.
