If it's 96% furnace by draining outside it will freeze the drain. We'll around here it would.

Why take out a 90% furnace and put an 80% back in it's place? Is it because the attic can get below freezing? 90% furnaces don't work in unconditioned spaces, which is why to this day, nobody makes a 90%+ commercial gas package RTU. How you going to drain that condensate when it's 40 below zero out on the roof. LOL.

I have seen condensing furnaces freeze vertical exterior drains because the condensate rate is so slow. The condensate pump will fill and kick on, and pump out into another place in the attic without the risk of freezing the drain line.

Black iron to copper to gas flex run through cabinet? A real brain surgeon indeed.

Those plastic shells on the heat exchangers on those at known to crack. Looked like lots of rust in the furnace which is what I ha e seen on all those that bust. Eventually when they get large enough the pressure switch won't close.

I have a whole new respect for my big blue bottle. I had no idea that much engineering went into the little squirt.😂

Wonder why the gas had been shut off? And you are right...a real genius put that pump outside the pan. A recipe for disaster.

Old style gas shut off and a copper connecctor then a stainless connector going through the side of the furnace, talk about first class.

Good work Ted geting him up and running but at a minimum you need to redo that gas line and offer that custumer a pump relocation and fix that flue pipe unless the custumer says replace whole system.
But at least ted you gave him some warmth.
And Ted yes whoever did that pipe work and gas line work was an idiot they looked like what we call around my way a ghetto rig job.
That looked almost like if on a car using pvc for a car exhaust pipe come on now but at least you know that Ted and can fix it.
    Take care Ted.

At 1:50 am its 70 degrees in Baton Rouge. No wonder you got so much crap. Your customers love you. Our owner went over to Latchel. They pay well but I'd rather have our old A/C guy. If it was minor like the gas being off he wouldn't even bill the owner. Latchel ain't nothin' but money grubbers.

What????? You sprayed the shutoff valve but didn't spray the gas valve itself. What was the damn use. You gave them the bandit special!!!! You did exactly what you talk about in every video. 😢

That was a little disappointing. You explained that the owner just purchased the property. Most likely the home inspector caught the exhaust flue pipe disconnected and shut down the furnace for safety reasons. I've seem gas simply shut down for safety as well as officially being tagged out. Gas should not have been turned on without a permanent fix to the exhaust flue.
