The best advice ever given.
My grandfather died of a brain tumor(cancer). I remember the day that he died. It was October 24, 2006. He was on a ventilator at his house, my grandma and aunt were there and sad because they felt he was almost ready to leave. I was on my way to class at college that morning and stopped by to see him. I put my hand on his shoulder and told him that I loved him. Then later that evening while I was finishing up some work at college, I got a call from my mom telling me that he had died. To this day, I still miss him.
2019 ... and I still cry watchin this. .. I loved Mark ... I so miss ER ....
Possibly the only Character death that ever broke me.
It was so bitter sweet and well executed it just felt real.
Thats a big testament to the actor and the writers to have that reflect to us on screen.
WinterMoon 801 me too, i couldnt stop crying. Idk if i wanna keep watching the er series cz its not the same without mark...
The only reason I watched up to season 11 was for Carter, he was the last original I liked left.
But even then after Mark died a piece of the show was missing you can feel it.
WinterMoon 801 the new cast members all seemed to be so young in age and time qualified as opposed to the eclectic mix of the original cast members who all carried a personal history and depth to their characters.

Possibly one of the saddest episodes of ER....Ever
Debra Evans possibly one of the saddest scenes screened on ANY tv programme...... Ever. 😭. Beautifully written beautifully acted with fantastic production team. 😭😭
I'll never forget watching this episode. I was 18. It broke my heart and I remember it to this day. Years and years later one of my best friends died it was song played at her funeral was this one. This is also one of my mom's favorite songs that she played every time we went to Hawaii. It seems that this song will never leave the back of my mind. And neither will the pain and loss associated with it.
I only ever saw one episode of ER, and unfortunately it was this one. It tore my heart from my chest, and stomped it on the ground until it was in a million pieces. Just describing it to people brings tears to my eyes. I remembered it when I had my own daughter, my own son.
My father, who was not much of a father, more a best friend, died six years ago today. So much went unsaid even though we had time, but that was our relationship. I don’t have regrets, but sometimes it makes me too sad.
Dr Greene's death hurts a lot worse if you watch the whole series up to then. A lot worse. Amazing writing, directing, and acting. Sorry about your dad.
I was Anthony I would stand in .. I was there that day when he did that. It was extraordinary riding by John Wells and acting by Anthony… He deserved an Emmy for that.

I just cried my eyes out. I always thought he was killed in the bathroom from a gunshot. He was my favorite Actor on the show.
Mark Greene was beaten up in a bathroom at the hospital in the episode Random acts in 12th episode of season 3 where he is punched and kicked repeatedly.
I remember this episode like yesterday. It was one of the saddest episode ever.😭😭😭
