I have to wonder, could this be used to melt brass or bronze in a crucible? If so, it would be a cheap way to do casting with metals without the cost of an expensive furnace.
You could use it to heat a tank of water that would power a turbine. If it had a condenser, it could be self contained. I’ve seen a large tower with multiple reflectors focusing on the top of a tower that melts salt. There is enough energy stored overnight that it continues to flow until the next morning. Same concept.
