This is so helpful! Thank you so much!
Excellent video! Such valuable information!
Thanks, Dr. Salinas! Go Pokes!
Thank you very much
Glad to share, of course!
Amazing! Awesome!! A+++!!!😃
Thanks, Yeomin! I appreciate it!
4:30 very accurate
some old saxophonist from my hometown change the pearls of the yamaha to a flat pearls. the stock pears are not flat. and flats helps a lot with finger positions
Everyone has a preference! I personally, prefer concave pearls for the security they give me, but like you shared, I know others who like the flat ones for the same reason!
I wholeheartedly agree with what Dr. Johnny Salinas said 🎷🎷
Thanks Prof. Reed! Hope the semester at Marietta College has been a great one!!
Definitely going to be recommending this video for my students!
I noticed you switch between the breath taking neck strap and the jazz lab. Is there a reason? I am thinking of switching from the jazz lab to the breath taking.
Thanks, Aaron! I've used the Breathtaking going all the way back to 2008. I also like the Jazz Lab a lot, and switch between the two regularly.
excellent video but I never use the rollers for the low B to Bb or C# to B I just rock my pinky..It seems to work great and afford very fast technique in that difficult register...
I do this also, specifically from B to Bb.
can you explain the right hand position. do you need to be touching the side keys or are they away from them in general?
No need to be touching them always, but staying near to them is definitely a good thing. It will vary from person to person based on hand size, and in some cases, risers are helpful!
Every saxophonist I hear, every saxophonist I follow
