Excellent review, thanks! I am looking at the Tremor (new Ford Ranger model) or this, the Wildtrak. UA-cam gave me your video review. Very nice truck! I am tempted now to go straight for the wildtrak (thanks to your review).
Excellent Review, I am saving up for one to get in a few years, most likely the XLT. The only thing the new Rangers are missing which would of completed them would be a rear-sliding window. Apart from that they are great, I love the Headlights, the tailgate and the overall size.
A great review Sam of an imposing vehicle. I saw the last version of the Wildtrak at my local Ford dealer and it was very impressive. I wouldn't need a Ranger but I can see why it is so popular with those who do.
Yes it’s certainly a beast! I agree, I don’t require anything like this, but would recommend the Ranger to people who require such a capable 4x4! Thanks for watching Andrew 😄
The Ford Ranger now has 60% of the UK pickup market and are often worked hard. I have a 2014 Ranger T6 [this new model is a T6.2 I think] 2.2 automatic and it very regularly tows 3.5 tons and carries all kinds of stuff. The rear seats and footwell is usually crammed with tools, straps and animal paraphernalia more often than any person. It works very hard but is well maintained and I recently changed the engine oil pump ‘just in case’ as it is a known failure point. It has covered nearly 90,000 miles now and has been very little trouble. Had several punctures and broken rear springs and a few minor issues, nothing much. Hard on fuel though, which is a combination of the type of work it does and a rather thirsty engine. Mine averages 18mpg but will do 30 on a long run and driven as if it was carrying nitro-glycerin. This is about what I could get out of my old LR110 of 1984 vintage with a 67hp diesel that had to be thrashed to move, so not too bad. The new model with the 2.0 twin turbo should be far better in every way.
Excellent attention to important details like the VAT eligibility. Commercial vehicles and their options should always have their price quoted ‘plus VAT’. 10/10 for that compared to more well known motoring ‘journalists’.
Thanks Huw! Yes I thought it made most sense, the Sales Manager also helped telling me that most customers are buying for commercial use, but I’m glad it has been picked up on 😄
@@Carcode hi. Is it true that the you've to pull a lever on the passenger side to open the bonnet? I've only seen that shown on one video and if true that's something people should be sharing
Hi Sam, good vid. What would you say is the most impressive 4x4. As in sizewise, and Statement factor. I'm looking for something very imposing tht makes a statement and stands out from the rest. Is the Rangers the biggest 4x4 ford do or are their bigger, I'm literally looking for the biggest 4x4. Also what is the biggest rims tht can be attached to the ranger? Thanks Sam, Godbless 🙏
I’m glad you enjoyed it! For the UK market, yes the Ranger is the largest Ford model, the Raptor model features the higher output engine and a more imposing look with the higher ride height and customer Raptor bodykit. From factory the largest alloys can be species up to 20” and aftermarket I believe you can go up to 22”. In terms of size it is a big beast, I saw the new Volkswagen Amarok yesterday (Based on the new Ranger) and that was similarly large, much bigger than previous trucks like the Navara and the previous Ranger.
@@Carcodethanks for the reply Sam. Do u know if the Ranger can support 22inch rims? It's specifically a ranger I'm looking for, I was curious how it compared with other similar vehicle models. New sub here, keep up the good work. New Sub 👌💯
Great review as usual Sam 👍🏻👍🏻 I like the Ranger, I think this and the Hilux are the best bet in the pickup market at the moment. The Hilux is so much more dated than this mind, but is such a workhorse you can’t help but love it too. My stepdad has always had both a single cab pickup and a LandRover of some sort from Kentdale for his car. He’s almost retired now so decided to go down to one vehicle - he was initially thinking of a more luxurious pickup and the Ranger and Hilux were top of his list. We both preferred the Ranger, but as is usually the case when buying a new car he ended up with neither 😂 We tried the previous Ranger and he felt the double cab pickup was just physically too big. As he mostly transports things on the roof he ended up with a Subaru Outback and he absolutely loves it. He bought a trailer for anything he can’t fit in the Subaru’s boot but doesn’t have to use it very often 😊 Keep up the great work I always look forward to the next video.
Thanks for watching Richard I’m glad your continuing to enjoy and follow my content! It is a huge car even more so now! Lots of customers won’t necessarily NEED such a car but the novelty is fun, just guzzles a lot of fuel! The SUV and trailer combo is a good option as you can leave the extra storage at home! It’s great to see as I thought that many Land Rover customers are looking into the Ranger as an option! Thanks again!
@@Carcode That’s very true it’s certainly a monster of a vehicle and was very impressive 😃 Interestingly I’m sure I saw something on what car recently where the Ranger was one a tiny number of cars which did better than it’s quoted mpg in economy tests, mind I bet it’s still no hypermiler lol 😂
Yes I believe it is the same as for the cars which is 3 years or 60,000 which ever comes first. You can also get an extended warranty from Ford Protect or other warranty providers. Hope this helps! 😄

you have to pull UPWARDS on the tab and the rear armrest will deploy easily.
What’s the warranty is it still 3 years 60000 mile?
Yes I believe it is the same as for the cars which is 3 years or 60,000 which ever comes first. You can also get an extended warranty from Ford Protect or other warranty providers. Hope this helps! 😄
@@Carcode not a very competitive warranty compared to other pick-up brands.
Arm rest lift up and pull. No flaw in design
In German we say „Niedlich“😂😂
Thank you?
They are cheaper in Australia
Missed a lot of features.
Pull up...
do you drive Sam... you don"t look 18
Yes I do drive I’m 19 …… check out my other videos on the channel 😄
