All different strands of marijuana are comprised of different terpines depending on their genetics and these terpines are realeased by the flower to attract bees and such. However, many cannabis users who are familiar with the methods of extracting cannabanoids from the flower can concentrate these terpines and add them to their weed/ concentrated thc(wax,butane hash oil) to alter the taste. This is the whole reason why weed smells like skunks and is so strong. The trainers take these liquid concentrated terpines and can spread them on things to make them smell like weed. Those who constantly smoke weed all day everyday tend to smell like it even if they don't have it on them because these terpines are absorbed in the blood and released through sweat. :) hope that sheds light on why dogs can smell weed so well

No this isn't correct about the particular breeds he spoke of " and in between ". At any airport what do you see smaller breeds like the beagle that has a far better sense and the police drug dogs are the same.

I'm a DEA dog handler agent the dog can smell pass anti dog spray and food/ chocolates but in place to prevent the dog finding the drugs
Mr. D , the dogs separate the smells so it doesn't matter if you layer the smells. They can break down all the different things making that scent
