J'écoute pas mal d'opéras mais à mon avis, Amira est sera toujours la meilleure. Je n'ose pas imaginer ce qu'elle sera à l'âge adulte. Depuis que je l'ai entendue, ses vidéos ne me quittent plus. I have listened to this track using both the left (Amira) and right track (Charolotte) separations. Amira's voice has a refinement that is as close to perfection that I have ever heard. Charlotte is definitely a beautiful singer but it is not a fair contest.....the nine year old is victorious one more time!
Charlotte is a very good singer. Amiras tone, passion and style set her apart from everyone one else. You can take lessons all your life and become a technically perfect singer but, most anyone can be taught anything. You can not learn to do what Amira does, You are born with "it" or you're not. I truly feel that Amira at 9 yrs old is the best opera singer i've ever listened to, make that the best singer. Jackie and the others are good but they all sound the same, like a trained opera singer. I have never really listened to opera until I heard Amira. I listen to others do the same songs she doing and I can't believe the difference. Amira is a special and very rare talent.

No, they aren't. A true opera singer does not sing from the upper chest as Jackie does, nor create a vibrato by moving their jaw. Jackie also does not maintain an operatic sound - she slips into 'pop' mode every now 'n then, especially when dropping to a lower register. Subtle, but it's there.
I to followed Amiga on Holland's Got Talent she is incredible with no airs or graces love her performances. Charlotte was treated unfairly in the beginning by Simon and little cruel but she became stronger as a singer in her on right. She deserves all the success that she now receives bless,God Bless Them Both.
I disagree, Charlotte was a little lame in that first song and Simon was right to motivate her to do better. He runs a recording company and is expert at summing people up and getting the best out of them. Remember, he loved the performance too and said that they worked as a duo but he picked up on Charlottes fight and determination so he gave her the push that she needed. If you watched their second appearance and paid attention to how Charlotte looked, you'll notice that she looked a bit angry, flustered and frustrated in the beginning. There's a very good reason for that as literally minutes before the performance, she still didn't know the lyrics properly and kept saying "I can't do this". Many English people have a lot of trouble singing in Napolitano Italian and any mistakes would have been very obvious, so she couldn't hide them. She's a real fighter and performer under pressure as she managed to memorize the lyrics in the nick of time but she had to really focus and concentrate on pulling off singing them properly. If you pay attention when they finish singing, you will see her puff out her cheeks in what was a huge sigh of relief that she got through the song with no mistakes. When she put her hands on her hips, very unusual in a setting like this, it was also very indicative of the stress and pressure that she was under as people often do that subconsciously to relieve the tension in their shoulders, although it could also be her way of signaling visually "Well, how was that then?" to Simon Cowell. Simon's comments from the first show, were more of a challenge than a criticism though. The give away is the wink that he gives at the end of his comments like he was saying "step up". If you watch him at the end of his comments in their second, semi final appearance, you will see him give a wink also at the end of his comments as if to say, "Well done". He pretty much explained his first show comments be opening his semi final comments with "There's a lot at stake here". He was obviously talking about them as a duo as he had every reason to believe that they would remain one and he already decided to have them make an album with Sony, so stepping up to sing as best as possible to make the album as good and successful as possible to give them the best start to their careers, was what was at stake. It certainly worked as the album made top five outright, something that hasn't happened since Susan Boyle brought out her album. Their following two albums reached number one on the classical music chart. One thing that helped them enormously, especially Charlotte, was going to Europe to have master classes with people like Leone Magiera, Pavrottis last singing teacher who developed his famous signature high c reverb and the present day best opera tenor in the world, France's Georges Thill. Charlott's singing on their first album "together" in the seventh track "Canto Della Terra" was stunning and reminiscent of the most beautiful Irish female voices. She has indeed stepped up.

I don't understand why anyone would want to match up these two singers like this. One is a good singer and the other is a great singer and it's noticeable here on this match up. Amira at 9 is just too powerful for Charlotte. And I'm a big Charlotte fan.

I tend to disagree. Jackie sings from her chest, and her sound is shallow. Amira on the other hand has a rich sound that comes from her diaphragm - she has already developed the qualities necessary for a true opera singer. Her sound will only become richer has time goes on.

The lovely rich deeply romantic tone her fans rave about is partly artificial. It seems to be a trademark of David Foster. They seemed to have carried it on and increased it,. I think it's a shame. Jackie has a lovely voice. They always add reverb to most child singers because their resonant spaces are so small and the bit of reverb adds depth to the sound. They should decrease the reverb as they get older, not increase it like they did with Jackie. That's also why in most cases Jackie always seems to sing rather softly to keep that round sweet sound always in the forefront to accentuate her style of singing. To each his own. It's all a matter of taste. In the beginning I was a big fan of Jackie's but over the next several years as the use of reverb increased I stopped listening. I do drop in from time to time to see how Jackie is doing hoping they have cut back on the reverb. I suppose they can't now. If they did her fans are so married to that sound they would think Jackie was losing her voice
