I don't need peace to be happy or to feel good. I want inner peace because it is the part of me that is my foundation and enables , me to enjoy my day, no matter what my circumstances. As human beings we all know bad things happen, sad things happen, good things happen and glad things happen, that's what we call living. No matter what I do to try and magically make all my problems, my hurt and my pain to disappear. Time after time, my problems, hurt and pain are still there waiting for me. I know when I feel inner peace, I find the courage, clarity and the strength to sort out my problems, to accept my hurt and pain knowing it won't kill me and last forever and spend my days, consumed by my problems and the, why me! When I am feeling inner peace, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel of hard knocks. I can still see the Robin perched on a fence and feel my heart warming as it brings a smile to my face, I can still enjoy my day and I don't have to endure it. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you again.

CRAZY MONKEY MIND
I try to do that every morning and every breath, but with my sometimes crazy monkey mind and all modern very addictive distractions (my phone, my computer, my tv) I need focus, inspiration and most of all inner peace. I need to replace the noise in my head with the silence in my heart, but that is not so easy for me ...
DARKNESS IN ME
I am grateful, that whenever i get lost again , when i worry too much, when the darkness of the war in Ukraine, ( that now hurts our refugees here in the Netherlands so deeply), I can listen to peaceful and wise words and find a place inside me, that is "different", a place where all that noise is totally absent.
DEMENTIA POSITIVO
I sometimes want to forget what is bad in my life and remember more often what is good in my life , because my mind tends to do the opposite: focus on bad, follow all the negative news about the wars and because of my bad news addiction forget all my blessings and what is good in my life. When will I learn this?
Thank you so much dear Prem, for helping me to focus again and again - after i have forgotten, what i need to feel because the outside world and often very bad news is eating me again - , on the silence, beauty, breath, bliss, gratitude, hope, contentment and so nice and comforting peace inside me, especially since 1974, when i first met Charanand in Amsterdam and later that year also you, dear Prem and you did teach me something i did not know about the peace in my heart, a thing they forgot to teach me in my medical University in Maastricht.
THE BEST MEDICINE
"Only educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all", - Socrates, Aristotoles, Rumi, Gibran and Kabir already mentioned this to me, but I did not understand that fully, before i connected more deeply with my heart. My best medicine is not a pill, but feeling content, calm and grateful inside.
A COLD SHOWER?
My first step every day after my breakfast and fresh cold /hot shower (to wake up my body) is to feel my inner peace, to also wake up to that beauty and gratitude inside, to just feel relaxed and so so simple again, as a child playing and having fun.
THE INNER JOURNEY
Kabir, Rumi, Gibran, Shakespeare, Marcus Aurelius, Lao Tzu, Einstein, Martin Luther King, Kafka, Helen Keller, and Carl Jung and actually most wise people were so right, that we - me too - focus too much outside and not enough inside ...
