Crazy, didn’t even see him touch the clutch. How do they do that without clutch control? Is the bike geared a special way, or are they just able to ride fast enough they don’t need to modulate the clutch?
I copied the field a few months ago and tried this course, my personal experience in this particular course is only use engine brake and front brake to decelerate, clutch only used when at the beginning and the end. You can see the front suspension went crazy pulled and almost pushed all the way when entering and leaving each corner.
I used to wonder this myself, but I think that you don't need clutch modulation at these speeds. When you're riding at a walking pace and doing maneuvers in a parking lot, you can use the clutch/rear-brake technique (like the Ride Like a Pro stuff). But this is a different style, and in Japan, they ride like this, without the clutch. But they're going pretty fast--- like up to 80 kph (50 mph).
