@@TheTruth70777 Hmm that's a very tricky question. The old Casios were weak in that department. The CTK4000 and onwards had some good sawtooth sounds. They started about 20 years ago so not exactly vintage though. Going back to the early 90's, the CTK670 is a classic that I love, it's worth a look :)
I have the oppurtunity to buy one of this or Casio Ctk 651 for my niece so she can learn piano. Which one is better especially when it comes to piano tone?
I got one too. Do any of you know how to record in it? i tried to follow the manual, but I am confused. I just one to record some sounds, and play along with it. Tips and help is appreciated! :D
Very informative video! Can I have a question? Do you think it's worth it to pick up a used one in great confition with stad for 99€? Thanks in advance:)
Hmm I think it was 9 volts, DC, centre-negative plug. It's just as cheap to get a multi-adapter though. You can buy them from electronics stores, very handy thing to have in your house!
Hi Glynn nice in yer face keyboard..Ha! Ha! i've just bought a Casio CTK 1550 mint condition and boxed for £39.99.and a Yamaha PSR E333 for £49.99 mint condition also, all i need to do now is learn how to play them..{AHEM!}...
There's not much you can do apart from just select them from the list using the number buttons. I mean you can't change any parameters of the sounds #gearfacts

I still have mine! I’ll try to explain the process in the simplest way I possibly can. You just need to select any of the numbers between 50-54 in the song bank so that the keyboard knows you are wanting to record your own thing. Then you need to press the button labeled “song memory”. You should see “song memory” pop up on your keyboard screen. Then you need to press that same button again. At this point you should see the “song memory” words on the screen start blinking as well as the hands on the screen too. Now here’s the easy part. You select whichever tone you want to record with, and then press play. You should hear a metronome count you in when you do this. And that’s all there is to it!! Enjoy!
So I just ordered one off of Reverb , com . Paid a bit more than what I figured $70 US dollars, but it is a nice sounding keyboard and will be a great fit for my collection . Thanks for the review , even if it’s from a year ago ! Your reviews are costing me money lol !!!
You mean the piano with the strings playing as well? Just choose a piano sound and hit the "dual" button (or it might be the "layer" button, can't quite remember)
Mostly just the normal second hand gear sites like Ebay and Gumtree. One tiny secret: There's a big warehouse in my town that rescues things from the dump and sells them cheap. Keyboards appear quite regularly, with a surprisingly good rate of perfect functionality. Such waste!! GF
Gearfacts true. A furniture store jus round corner to me gave me this kids toy keyboard. For sketching out tunes its brill. Sounds crappy but its instantly on and ready to go before i lose the ear worm in my head!!!
My sister had this since 2009. she just gave it to me so i decided to look it up. Did not expect to find a review from 2019
haha yeah I like the obsolete gear :) GF
i guess Im kind of off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Musa Abel I watch on FlixZone. Just google for it =)
@Blaze Marshall Yup, I've been using flixzone for since april myself =)
@Blaze Marshall Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it !
Just bought one from craigslist. Learning keyboard.
My favorite part of CTK-800 is the Fairlight inspired synth-vox / choir sounds
👍 agreed. And some of the synth tones.
@@gearfacts These can also be found on older Casios as well, like the 571 and 591
Man I've never seen someone improvise so well on piano, if that's what you were doing
This is a successor of the 591
Yep

I was improvising - just got lucky :) #gearfacts
Would be a dope backing intro for a rap song, you should add to it.

For learning, I think they are about identical. I think I'd choose the 800 if I had to make a choice :)
Can you record with this one?
@@di44ito Hmm you'd have to google that, sorry. I don't know
I have a big old Casio WK 3000, very similar looking in millennium silver

Hi Fricsi. Well it's not the bargain of the year, but it's a fair deal. The CTK-800 is a solid keyboard with good basic sounds :)
@@gearfacts I'm a beginner in piano so I tought I could start learning on this.

Yep it'd be ok

this is produce some of the settings on the 900?
Quite a lot of them, yes
I have this keyboard at home.
Amigo Este teclado tiene el octavador o sea para bajar las teclas
Yes 👍
I put a sustain pedal but what it does is damp the sound instead of sustain it. What should I do
Turn it off, put your foot on the pedal, then turn on again. Hopefully that'll reset it.
I believe I have tried before but will try again thanks
How do i change the octave sound.? I hit transpose but nothing happens.
Maybe hit transpose then + or -. Or hold down both simultaneously. It’s been a while, I can’t remember!
@Tim De Jong Sounds like a pretty good price to me :) I've never heard of the brand "Wersi" though, maybe they don't export to Australia.

Can't remember sorry. It's probably in the function menu somewhere (press function then "6" to scroll through options)
У меня такой же синтезатор, но я не знаю как подключить к нему наушники, там какой-то особенный разъем.
Сзади есть разъем для наушников
why does the ctk 738 have a pitch bend but this one doesn't
Yeah this is part of the inexplicable 'series' of Casio's keyboards ...the number seem to mean nothing :/ #gearfacts
The CTK-738 is a high-grade model and this one isn't. And yeah, model numbers don't mean anything these days, lol.
@@Mr.Face222 not all high-end model keyboards have a pitch Bend wheel
What is a reasonable price to pay for one of these? Thanks
In Australia I'd say about $50 ($US35)
50 US$ max if in realy perfect condition and boxed. 30US$ if in ok condition. 30 to 35 is a fair price for this one.
