      @@gearfacts The Casio befell to another player as I didn't pounce at once seeing the offering. "I'm not going to lose that Yamaha PSR-E443 as well", and I pounced without hesitation this time. According to my brother It sounds beautiful as he was the one who picked it up. I'll say the same when he brings it to me on thursday!

    I have a WK 110 sitting over there in the corner. That keyboard is now 14 years old, and it works perfectly. One of the keys recently stopped working but I can get someone to fix that. Other than that, the keyboard looks pretty much brand new, and it plays brand new as well. I was just four years old when I got that keyboard, and I still play it sometimes. When I got that keyboard I was just in love with all the sounds. Next I got a Yamaha YPG635. although it was 88 keys and the initial piano sound was a bit better, I would still pick my good old WK 110.
    FYI, the WK 110 has 515 sounds, including 15 drum kits, I believe 100 to 200 rhythms, I don’t know the exact number, and 100 songs each with four different lessons for learning them. Now some stats on my old YPG635, 503 sound, 100 rhythms, 30 demo songs. My WK 110 is so much better.

    Your channel is a living fun. How does the Casio WK-110 compare to the CTK-900? What is the current price for WK-110? For learning beginner and slightly advanced, which would you recommend, if price same? All these videos brilliant and entertaining, my friend. Thank you.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому +1

      Glad you're enjoying the channel, Axel (pls share on social media - wink!). To answer your question - and it's a good one - the processor is a ZPi for both, but the CTK900 has a DSP to add multi-effects. So arguably its better. The WK110 does have an extra octave of keys though and a much better set of speakers. I think I'd choose the WK110 for those reasons, and also I can get al the extra effects just by plugging in a cheap multi-effects pedal. It really put a smile on my face, and that's ultimately the thing that should guide any music gear purchase :)

      Check if your sustain pedals are stereo or mono (s black stripes or one back stripe on the connector pi). That might make a difference. Or it could jest be a faulty sustain pedal socket. I don't think a factory reset would change anything.

      It’s pretty cld now. As much as I like it, I think $250 is excessive, I’d go to $200 max and that would only be if I was really certain it was the one for me. Reliability shouldn’t be a problem, keyboards will usually work for decades (your ctk3000’s sudden death is very unusual I’m sorry to say!) but with brand new keyboards starting at about $400, I think there are better second hand deals out there. Sorry to bother you. I have the same piano and I've been thinking of getting back into playing it. However, I've run into a problem. When I try to play a note I've noticed it doesn't continue to play the note like it does for you in the video. Is there a setting I need to activate or was there a pedal I needed?

      It's not bother, I'm happy to answer your question. Yes, it's a pedal that you need. In music stores, sustain pedals (as their called) start at about $15 and they really enhance the playing experience :)

    I have a question. Is there any possibility to enhance the reverb cuz it’s next to nonexistent, no matter how high I put it

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому

      I haven't got it with me right now so it's hard to give a clear answer, but I do know that there is a Send function (might appear as "SND" in the function menu" and you have to 'send' a percentage of your sound into the reverb effect. So if 'send' is set to a low value (as I think it is, by default) then it'll always sound weak not matter how much you edit the actual reverb effect itself. So look for the option in the menu to send the main voice into the reverb effect, and see if it can be raised. I suspect that's the problem. Classic Casio over-engineering!
