My daughter came home yesterday, 6 months in hospital she is only 16 years. 27min she died, heart attack, ICU, feeding tubes, tracky. My baby is finally home for Xmas with a ABI. Thankyou, because this is very similar to my situation now. It helps me, to know we are not alone. I'm happy your girl is alive, just like my girl, walking, talking, but a slight difference.
She will be disabled, but she is improving so much

@@knowledgeberakah1728 Do NOT do this- horrendously dangerous advise. The brain is made up of 60% fat by weight. Eating vegan means you will miss most of that fat (that can help rebuild), but also about 20 other important nutrients. Nutrition and time and patients will be very important. No veggies are complete proteins. I tried going vegan once. I speak from experience.

      @MOAB-UT Рік тому +1

@@YourDailyDoseOFinternet117 That is exactly how I was. 3 years out and I am probably at 90% or better. Pay attention to your sleep. You may think it is your post concussive syndrome (I have that diagnosis in my chart too), and it may well but but for me, I realized, much of it was simply because I was not getting good sleep. When I did, e.g., on a vacation, I would wake up great. Your FOG can be from a consistent lack of sleep. Even if you lay in bed 8 hours does not mean you are resting well. Get a sleep tracker like a Garmin Venu2- something reliable tracking.
      CORE SUPPLEMENTS
#1. The right, high fat foods and exercise- even if it is only walking daily. I also eat plenty of healthy fats e.g., WILD (only) Salmon, never toxic farmed raised, Grass fed steaks, PASTURED (only) 5 minute boiled eggs, Olive Oil, Walnuts, Avocados, some low oxalate veggies like Broccoli. Also, try to eat KIMCHI daily. We need fermented foods to feed out GUT. It is critically important for many reasons.
Time restricted eating also helps e.g., 18:6. Eat at noon, stop by 6pm
#2. I depend on my Magnesium Glycinate before bed. It makes you sleep much better.
      #3. NAC- on empty stomach
      #4. Sublingual B12 w/food
If you want to share with me your current diet and work out routine, I will share my thoughts. Also, was your vision and or balance effected at all? For me, one pupil is still bigger than the other. A fried dropped about 30lbs. of skis from the wall down onto my head when I was doing yoga- I was facing the floor- hit just above my neck. In some ways I got lucky it was not an inch lower.
If you make a big time effort to do the right things, I think you will heal up just fine over time- as in years not months. Take this opportunity to jump deep into nutrition. Read Plant Paradox, Dr. Gundry, BRAIN ENERGY, Dr> Palmer, Metabolical- Dr. Lustig, Food, What the Heck Should I Eat- Hyman. If you do this, you will benefit greatly. Dr. Berg has a good YTbe channel too.
Disclaimer, I am not a doctor or expert in anything. This is definitely not advice of any kind...just what I do. That said, when it happened to me, I wish someone took the time to provide this type of valuable info. I searched for it and did not really find it. Most docs are truly clueless- run tests and want to put you on Xanax. Did they trick you to get on any drugs? All drugs have side effects- some worse than your concussion!
Good luck- be sure to never bump your head again- especially for the next year or two. It does happen more easily though I have found. We are simply a big off our game- it's normal.

@DG-ti1jb , your right it could be my sleep, also I eat everything u mentioned in the reply, and I believe it could be my sleep thats causing me to feel slow, I did lose weight, and my lower back when I walk it just feels sore. So but other than that, I think ur right it could be my sleep. U sound like your knowledgeable on holistics I would like to know your diet? If u would like to share that with me?

My sister Rebekah was hit by a car 7 months ago. She is still technically in a coma as she can't communicate aside from an occasional thumbs up when prompted. I pray everyday she will be able to live a somewhat normal life again. She turns 24 in 2 weeks and she'll meet her first niece in a few days. I pray one day she'll be able to do the things she loved again including singing and acting with the local theater troupes.

@@mintudas2433 I am not going to say anything is impossible, but I tell everyone to throw away the "normal or the of 100%" . I feel like I am at about 70-80% of where I was pre accident and consider myself really lucky to be here. If your wife keeps working and striving to get things back good things will happen, its been 7 months for me and I still struggle with balance, fatigue and minor memory issues. I am a completely different person than I was at 3 months, time, work, and acceptance of a "new" normal will help. Don't give up keep the love of your wife strong and be strong for her and good things will happen for you two!

    • @RiverRatsTotalOutdoors
      @RiverRatsTotalOutdoors 3 роки тому

@@mintudas2433 I had a lot of ct scans done, I don't know how to read them, that got left up to my doctors and once I started to recover I trusted what they said and told me. If she is up and walking she has to keep doing it, exercise and sleep are the biggest keys to recovery, sleep lets your brain take a rest and light to moderate exercise feeds it with oxygen which it needs a ton of. My head always feels different than it did pre accident, the "weight" she is probably feeling is slight dizziness, I have a broken ear drum now to so it is hard for me to tell if my dizziness and balance issues are coming from that or my broken ear. My biggest advice is to keep concentrating on recovery

Its very complicated. One did not get good physical therapy options/encouragement and can’t move really. One is in a wheelchair, very hard to understand when they talk but you can if you try. You have to hope and try for the best but temper your expectations. Each case is completely different. I worked with a girl that had to relearn how to walk and talk. You cannot tell she had a brain injury even though at one time she could not speak or move.

I’ve been where Rebekah is, I got hit by a car running a red light at about 45-50mph when I was crossing the street at 14, it’s been a very dark and difficult 17 years for me because therapy in recovery stopped to soon and I was put back into school where I was tormented for speaking with that same speech impediment, if there is anything I can say to Rebekah, you are very Beautiful, Jesus Christ loves you very much, you will get better with time, and I have found that singing and listening to positive uplifting Christian music seems to help the most. I still want to be normal also, but what is normal really? I’m happy to be me, and I wouldn’t give anything to be anyone else because at the end of the day, only I have the strength to walk in my shoes. Same to you Rebekah, only you can walk your life. Just know your not alone. To be honnest I think even Eminem suffered from traumatic brain injury and was in a coma for a day more than me. If that can give you any hope towards a successful future. Also if you are interested in making your own music I do, you can literally use bandlab to make excellent quality music with a looper to make music. I find that the vibrational frequency of music seems to be healing.

As a hardware deep passion for the things I can do are blurred by things I have to ask for like a driver for my own car I can't legally drive due to a severe seizure disorder and the left side Hemianopia and everything else accompanying the TBI that might fit in a traumatized Tracktor trailer or Amazon prime van

on 3 june 2023 my brother went unconscious
    His eyes rolled back
...and doctors told us that he has a heart attack and as a result have hypoxic brain injuury...
uptill now there is no complete treatment for this thing..
    Its been a month now
initially he can only open his eyes with limited look around movement..
    now
He can move his lips and tongue a little..
And he also started to yawn..
and few times ..very few times..move his elbow, feet finger and head a little.
When something is put in his mouth he try to chew it
Its been almost three weeks he is breathing on his own initially was put on a ventilator
doctors says from now it all depends on patient's will power to secure complete recovery..
He is having food through NG tube
He also have tracheostomy tube in the neck
Also mri scans have shown global or severe hypoxic brain injuury
    He is only 33
He was a healthy person before.
It seems like he can listen when we ask him to blink his eyes he blink his eyes
He tried to grip my hand when i hold it
