Thanks for the confirmation! That video was the first time I have ever netted those fish. They are some HUGE shad & apparently they are blamed for low water clarity in the local lakes, so I probably shouldn't have thrown them back Haha.
Thats what it looks like. They were so smelly I had to rinse my net out in soapy water Lol. No wonder they make good catfish bait because that was really stinky. That spillway is known for having Supersized fish, so everything is shockingly big & makes it hard to identify half the time
Next video might be Ocean fishing, so we have a good chance of pulling in something awesome! Might sling the net off a small cliff or something. I will be hunting those fish down, so definitely stay tuned!
@b1u491 Dude, I guarantee you will get something! Get that net off the shore 15-20 feet & let it hit bottom. That big fish ripped a hole in my net the size of a football. I am repairing it right now 🪡 Just watch out for hooks, my net was bringing them up every other cast 🪝
@b1u491 Hey Man! You need more nets, so a few are in working condition & you got some waiting for repair (I'm down to my last working net at the moment Lol). Did you catch anything tho?!? Also, don't be afraid to buy a Nylon net. Those nets are pretty awesome & significantly more durable than mono. Given the choice, I would choose a braided net or nylon and lighter than 1lb/foot because I always cast from shore 🌊
The U.S has really strict Cast Netting laws that prevents keeping most fish. It probably doesn't make any sense to other countries why I have to release the fish. I release absolutely everything caught in my net, since I am mostly just seeing what is down there. Great question, thanks for asking!
The unknown fish are gizzard shad.

@b1u491 Awesome! I have never seen a Tilapia that big, so I wasn't sure. Do you recognize what was in my other net of 3 fish? I still have no idea Lol
