I had this as a kid! So many fun memories of listening to this over and over. And being a kid always cracking up at calling Storm Troopers "Party Poopers." But I could have sworn the At-At in this was phonetically pronounced At-a-tat. I guess I actually have been saying it wrong for the past 30 years.
OMG I HAD THIS AS A KID. i was trying to find the book and cassette and figured it may have been lost in a box of books when we moved places when i was 11. so glad to find this digitized!
Eric Peeper I agree, I had this and not only learned to read and learned new vocabulary, its Star Wars so win win! Thanks for the upload Star Wars Radio.
I think See-Threpio should have given the intro, saying something like: "Hello, I am See-Threpio, and my friend and I are going to take you through that famous galaxy to learn the Star Wars ABCs. You can read along with us in your book. Unless you're already programed to know where the pages end, you'll know it's time to turn the page when you hear Artoo-Deetoo beep like this... I believe my friend is ready, so let's begin."
This is incredible...love the illustrations, and the fact that they based Greedo off the Kenner action figure, not his screen look. So cool!
I wish I was young enough to learn how to read with this. If it came out in 1977, with the first movie it would have been perfect!

That's silly
Talk about a trip down memory lane that was awesome.

I had this as a kid. Thanks a million for this, it's an example of merchandising actually being beneficial to kids

I had this record as a kid and it skipped during "X". It kept playing "X is for X is for X..." I've never forgot that!😆

Me too. But I loved it the most.
I know it's kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online ?
@Ryker Orion I watch on Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)

AT-AT stands for Awesome Tank-Awesome Tank. Still have a copy of this record!
At the end with the Bounty Hunters, shown is IG-88, Boba Fett, Bossk, and 4-LOM, not Zuckuss.(Zuckuss owned the droid 4-LOM.)
Wow! I used to love this!

This is amazing.
Your narrator is the late and incomparable William Woodson, featuring the equally incomparable Anthony Daniels as C-3PO.

Well Duh
This needs to have a EDM remix..
Nien Numb read this book and got his feelings hurt. This hero blew up the Death Star and here he gets told his name is dumb.
And one more word I near forgot. Leia calls our Han “Nerf herder”.
