Gracie may not be the bravest horse in the herd but i think she's proved to be the smartest. She watched it and figured out it was basically a mobil hay bag with carrots! Yea Gracie!
Home made puzzle ball. Feels like their saying "He wouldn't have something dangerous with us. It does smell good, but we don't eat moving food. What to do?"
I am so happy to see Gracie getting in there! Her bravery was well-rewarded with those giant mouthfuls of lovely grass. And of course, Mr. Wilde is in there most of the time, as daring as always (some exceptions may apply; see gator for details).
Smiling over the whole video! Mr. Wilde is one smart cookie! He was so adorable making a long neck to reach the grass. I didn’t doubt about Lena, wanting to grab a bite, and kudos to Gracie! Thanks a lot!
If I were betting I would have thought Luke and Lena would have been the first in and boldest to stay longer and longer. And I would have put Gracie last. Gracie really surprised me. Good for Gracie. And Mr Wilde is magnificent - his body condition is superb. And the shine on him is brilliant. You take wonderful care of your horses, Graeme. And I hope you will continue with the ball in the feedbag. I’ll bet that it’ll take Mr Wilde and Gracie even less time to start eating from it each subsequent time they’re exposed to your enrichment food dispenser. Thanks so much for sharing your horses and your knowledge.
I’d have guessed Meatball and Lena being one of the first, then Luke or Gracie-her natural Arabian brave curiosity would’ve overcome her cautiousness sooner than later, lol 😄
That was such a fun video. Good for Meatball and Gracie! What a surprise that she went in so quickly. I was surprised Annie and Luke didn’t. Please keep doing this so we can see if the others eventually get brave. Good thing baby Mocha wasn’t in there. You are always so caring toward your herd.
I'm not surprised Gracie did so well. She's been training for years for this moment, with her extreme yoga stretches under the arena fence to pick out the most minuscule weed. Go Gracie.
Fantastic ! What a brilliant idea. Mr Wilde showed the way right away even he scared himself in the beginning, he's just incredibly brave and smart. I am very surprised with Gracie, so brave and tenacious ! Very very interesting how this revealed unknown facets of their characters. And indeed a great way to enrich their environment by introducing them to new situations that make them think, learn and deal with potentially scary situations.
I'm working from home and had this in the background it was mesmerising! I was rooting for Luke although I shouldn't have a favourite 😊 all your horses have such unique character !
This was a great time laughing for me..everyone could use a good laugh watching and contemplating which horse will be bravest! Laughing so much at your commentary .. it went so well with the action!! Thanks on this Saturday!!❤️🐴
So proud of Gracie!! She really did great. Mr. Wilde was the first but I am more impressed with Gracie because of her high strung personality. Great game for them!
That was amazing--I thought Mama Joka was unflappable and would be the first to approach that ball! Amazing too, that Gracie, as flighty as she seems, would be one of the first to try and figure it out--she's smart and courageous. ***Also, in case you didn't see and nobody said anything yet, I saw Luke cautiously grab a bite at 6:54 in the video. Thanks for posting.
Good job Mr Wilde and Gracie who was a huge surprise. Honestly, I was even more surprised that Annie didn't jump in once she saw Mr Wilde survive the "attack" ball. I guess it really shows how we always have more to learn about our horses...
That was hilarious! Herd: Oh no! A swinging grass crunchies weird ball bag! Let that crazy wildie have it! Gracie: no way! I'm the crazy one here! *chomp* lol I was really excited to see Gracie yanking big mouthfuls and dashing a way. A surprise yet somehow just like her. This was an awesome GREAT idea Graeme! So much fun. Thank you! updated comment: So, I've watched this video 3 times and it gets funnier every time. Watching Mr Wilde try and snag those carrots reminds me of bobbing for apples in a barrel at a county fair. I am so cracking up here. I wonder if horses could bob for apples in a barrel. :D
Autumn is coming. I see a new challenge. Lol, won't be as funny cus it doesn't move. But dropping some apples in their water barrels every day might be fun. It would be for the horses. Yum😊
Omgosh ❣ i finally got to watch this video! SOOO much fun, & SOOO adorable! I smiled thru the whole video😊 Yay Mr. Wilde & Gracie to be the bravest & very cool to see them figure out it! Also i got my Mr Wilde bracelet, absolutely beautiful, i love it & love having a little bit of the sweet boy with me💙 thank you Graeme
It was fun to watch, I figured one of the wildies (couldn't make my mind up to be honest) but really surprised that Annie was so hesitant as she tends to have quite a bit of natural curiosity. Way to go Mr. Wilde, what a brave guy. This is a great enrichment tool (as well as fun) for encouraging that curiosity rather than fearing everything. Seeing Gracie have a go at it had me cheering loud enough my husband came over to see what the heck I was watching.
Such a fun experiment. Yea MR Wilde! I guessed correctly! 🤣🤣. So interesting to see the herd running away together and lining up to see what happens. Lena got in there pretty quickly and then Gracie. So surprised and proud of her. So funny when Gracie got a mouthful and set the death ball to swinging.
Mr. Wild redeemed his image today following his worries about the gater in yesterday’s video. Today he showed those little horses that he is really braver than them 😊
Wow, I did not expect Gracie to be that brave. She is smart though. I'm not surprised ol' Meatball was the first but I am surprised that Annie was so timid and didn't get close to the ball. It's a good game for them.
Very unique experiment Graeme !!! I suggest Mr. Wilde went first because of well developed instincts groomed by a life in the wild. Gracie goes second because of intelligence and insight, watching Mr. Wilde succeed !!! Loved this video, thanks so much !
What a wonderful experiment/game. It was fascinating to watch them go from their micro groups spread around the arena to herding up and moving all together when they thought danger was near. I am constantly amazed you get anything else done during the day, I could sit and watch a group of horses for hours. Thanks for sharing your herd with us.
So funny😂 it tells you more about each horse's character. I'm really surprised by Gracie! Mr Wilde is really a fearless horse. If we had bet on the boldness order, we would have been surprised. I would have thought of Joka and Lena to be the bravest! Very good piece of work!
It's interesting because a horse can be very brave and powerful around other beings, horses, humans, deer etc, but inanimate objects just have them totally lost.
@@StableHorseTraining you are right because I experience a similar thing with my young dog badly socialized with human, doesn't know how to play with objects. I gave up with balls etc.. She much prefers interacting with human (chasing, hide and seek etc, dog things)
That was so much fun! It was fascinating to see how the different horses dealt with a strange new object in their arena. And Gracie!! That was so unexpected to see her in there second! She is sure full of surprises. Well done Mr. Wild. 🥰🥰 I was really surprised that Annie didn't get in there.
Well that's one smart DIY idea! I absolutely loved watching every minute of them figure it out. Would've not mind that video being longer at all. I also believe Lina wasn't really scared at all. After observation she straight up walked in on it like the boss, that she is! Gracie really suprised me and I really thought Annie would be on it pretty quick... Annie, Roni, Luke and Joka will figure it out as well. Please make another video about it!! Mocha was probably wondering what the heck was going on😂 But good decision not bringing her into that chaos. Maybe some day you can introduce her to the foodballie with the support of Joka or Luke? Love your overall work and personality Graeme! Thank you so much!
Excellent idea Graeme! This is definitely now one of my top favorite video's of yours. Meatball is so brave, taking one...or a dozen, for the team. The others were curious but that thing is moving dad! Gracie...BRAVO! I laughed so much through this, thanks Graeme
A great idea and beautifully executed! Mr. Wild - The bravest of them all! Then Lena! And then Grace! - Wow, I think she was the first to understand that the ball really doesn't hurt her - at least when she approaches it and not the other way around 😉 Thank you Graeme - for having me the whole video smiling!😊
Joka: "It's a TRAP! The Horse-eating Ball Monster is going to get us! Run! Run for your lives!" 🤣 The Meatball is willing to take one for the team. This is so enjoyable!
This has to be one of my favorite videos. I expected Luke to be 1st as he trusts you not to allow danger. Then I thought Mr Wilde 2nd. Well, the horses proved me wrong. What I didn’t expect was Gracie to get in there. Then she got jealous when it was low on treats & tried driving the others off. Or was it particular horses & they all responded?
That was so much fun! Gracie keeps surprising me - so proud of her. Mr Wilde - no surprise - he's such a brave and confident boy! It's so interesting watching the herd dynamics and always something to learn by observing. Thank you for the smiles and laughs today!
I have always read that Arabians are super smart .. which explains some of their neurosis maybe? But she stood back and watched and figured it out faster than most of the others. 🤷🏻♀️ Of course Meatball is first tho. 😄Such a fun video. ❤
I called it. I knew it would be Mr wild first, and Grace second, I was watching them and they showed the most interest at the start. That was so much fun and your beautiful horses have learned something else today.
Oh my goodness what fun!! I knew it would be Meatball or Annie to go in first, but I didn't expect Annie to avoid it the whole time. I also thought Luke would be braver sooner. I think his nervousness might have kept Annie away. And poor Joka is just nervous of new things. But great job Gracie!! I was surprised how brave she got! Well done!! Please do this again, it was so much fun. This reminds me of when a trainer at the barn where I rode noticed that a horse was shying away from the Christmas wreaths that had been put up for the holiday. She dumped the wreath in the middle of his stall with a pile of carrots in the middle. That may not have been the nicest way to go about it because he couldn't get away, but his desire for carrots overcame his fear of the wreath.
😂 That was hilarious! Horses getting in to things. The balance between fear and curiousity. In this case you can clearly watch herdmembers learning from other herdmembers.
There must be something about the lifestyle of the Wildies that makes them more open to getting food at any cost or less scared of unusual moving things.
This works as a great neck stretching exercise for them too, since they try to crane in to reach the ball from as far as possible 😁😂 Proud of Gracie, she came in with determination
Your laugh is contagious! This was such a cool idea. It was hilarious when the other horses came up and Mr Wilde was getting another mouthful of grass at the beginning- but this time Joka spooked from the ball being pulled and ran away so that cause Mr Wilde to run also. "He almost died! Everybody run!". I was really impressed with Gracie!!! She was not who I expected to see with more confidence than the others! I didn't notice Roni holding Lena back some until you said it, but I did find it cute that when Lena went to the ball at 10:15, Roni never strayed to far from her, even watching her quite intently when she finally got a good mouthful. Wonderful video Graeme!
Congrats to Meatball, Leena, and Gracie! I was honestly not expecting Gracie to make it in, let alone third. Meatball is the bravest of them all! Watching them learn how to move with the ball instead of running away was awesome. I wonder who ended up getting the most carrot bits
What a lovely treat for the horses. Really interesting to see how they act towards it - so cautious and jetzt even scared, but the the curiousity that got the cat lol. Beautiful to watch! Your horses are all so beautiful! Love the different charachters🐎🙏💕
This rates as one of my favorite videos. Mr. Wilde got right in there. And I had to laugh at the end, Gracie getting mad at the others. I wonder if she was telling them, "I was brave before you were, my food ball!" Who knows?! 🤷♀️🤣 And I figured boss Joka would've been one of the first. I was wrong! Lena was brave too. It was kind of sweet that Roni was concerned for her, but Lena got a nice chunk of grass and would not be kept away! I know I'll be watching this video again, it was a good one. Poor Annie, Luke, and Joka. I hope they eventually got brave. ☺️💯👍
My prediction of who got to it first was the exact opposite of what it turned out to be 😂 none of the horses I picked even came close to eating any of the hay off the ball! Lol, This was a really fun to see though, and you could see the fear in their eyes eventually turn into intrigued and then surprise..(although still pretty flighty) I think Gracie out of all of them did a lot of growing in this situation, kind of looked like she felt it too❤ idk I kind of feel like she looked proud of herself( at least that's what it looked like to me😅) I loved this so much though very awesome idea Graeme 👌
So Mr Wild is the leader of the group, and the most courageous, and or curious, I loved how they all closely watched what he did, I so love animals! 💜💙
What a fascinating activity! They really were pretty worried about that food covered thing but they sorted that out in the end. I'm most surprised by Gracie's bravery, she's probably the last one I expected to go for it, it's cool to see all of their reactions to it! Fun, fun video!
Another great video! I hope you continue to do this once in a while. Eventually will teach them to be less afraid of certain things. They are all amazing, I enjoy your work and your videos. Love it all!😂❤🩹
LOL 🤣 This is great!! OMG IT MOVED... EVERYONE RUN 🤣 Mr. Wild is not only brave, but he's very smart 🤓🐴. One of my favorite videos so far, it's just so much fun 😁. Blessings my friend 🙌 Jennifer
I LOVE this video! I've been laughing so loudly at their antics, what a funny bunch of goofballs. Mr Wilde is officially a badass, so brave! I lost hard guessing Annie would be the winner, that will teach me to underestimate Mr Wilde! And Gracie for that matter! This must have been so much fun. Thank you for doing this and sharing it with us.
His first reaction was Funny... Stretches neck as far as he could get it to go... CAREFUL!...Careful..!..careful...... Then came the Grab and Snatch... And after That...Care flew to the wind-HE Was ALL IN. Tooo Funny!!! ⚪️ 😂
The fact that Annie sees you as safety says so much about your relationship with these horses. It makes me so happy!
Mr Wilde is a brave guy, but Gracie really surprised me how bold she was. What a super game for the herd ❤
I think it was fun too 🤣🤣😁😁
And Gracie out did herself
I know I’m bias, but is Gracie an Arab? So smart!
Gracie may not be the bravest horse in the herd but i think she's proved to be the smartest. She watched it and figured out it was basically a mobil hay bag with carrots! Yea Gracie!
The herd reactions are so funny at the beginning, but good on Mr. Wilde for being so brave!

I lost so hard guessing, but we all won! What an event. :D It was super fun to see what and how they did. My cheeks hurt from smiling.
Mr wild’s colouring is magnificent. From day1 to now ugly duckling to the most handsomest boy. That black on tan fabulous. That was fun today.
👍🏻

@@StableHorseTraining 😂😂😂😂 well he sure seemed to lead that feeding session! 😄😅😄😄
What a fun enrichment! Thanks for the laugh!
Enjoyed every second!!!
😇
What a fascinating activity! They really were pretty worried about that food covered thing but they sorted that out in the end. I'm most surprised by Gracie's bravery, she's probably the last one I expected to go for it, it's cool to see all of their reactions to it! Fun, fun video!
I love that horse toy! Great idea ! Awesome video 😂 Annie has dabbling on her hind end she's beautiful! I love them all ! ❤🐴❤️🐎
What a great idea 🥎🌿🥕!
Mr. Wilde is brave!
Such a beautiful day for the horses 🐎❤🐎!
I think it’s amazing spooky Gracie this doesn’t scare like it does the other horses amazing
It’s sooooooo fun🏀 🤩 I knew that you’re the first challenger, Mr. Wild😄👍 I may be recognizing each character of them little by little…😊
It’s great, isn’t it?
😇
Stranger Danger !!! Stranger Danger !!! RUN
This video was so interesting to watch! I would looove to see more!! I’m not sure how you would do it but maybe try with hay and apples next time!
Thank you for this!! And it will be interesting to see how they react the 2nd time!
That was soooo entertaining! Great stimulation for your herd. You are an awesome equine dad.

That was brilliant and hilarious at the same time😂
This is a great toy for them. Well impressed with them ❤❤❤
I LOVE this video!
Mr.Wild is like it's not that scary lol
His first reaction was Funny...
Stretches neck as far as he could get it to go...
CAREFUL!...Careful..!..careful......
Then came the Grab and Snatch...
And after That...Care flew to the wind-HE Was ALL IN.
Tooo Funny!!!

What a brilliant idea!, think I’ll give try my guy with a ball in a hay net 🤣
I love watching them🥰🥰
Very funny, but I was also quiet a bit afraid for you, Greame. I lot of action going on.
I appreciate that, I'm always thinking things through in these cases, it all turned out ok :)
The looks saying "why in the world would you do this to us!? How absolutely dare you!" 😂😂😂
Awesome Idea, love watching horses to figure out things, something, besides dullness!!!!
You watch a lot of horses be dull?
This was a great idea 💡!! We got to see who has the most brave spirit !! You should do this more often 🎉. ❤
Watched again, so interesting! If there was an Oscar for Vids this should be nominated. Thanks Graeme 😊 (PS 6 days to go in my plaster cast)
