yes we spent a lot of time up there as children in the 60s and 70 and indeed our ancestors back to the 1700s and probably earlier. Absolutely freezing in winter but so wonderful to have no one around. I have never wanted people around me.

The lady undoubtedly knows Border Collies and is a very successful breeder and trainer. She now lives on the Isle of Bute with her husband and young son.

@@alanmcdonald4423 Gonna have to shock you I'm afraid..I'm actually a 'Suvvner'..Guildford in Surrey originally, but met my Geordie wife on a fishing holiday to Gambia. In typical North East fashion it was "I'm not bloody moving down there, so either come up here, or sling your hook"..So have been a very happy ex pat for nearlly 30 years. Northumberland is a true gem..I've only been back down south once (for a funeral) and if I never go back again, it'll be too soon!!..Pompous, arrogant, self important money grabbing f*ckers the lot of 'em
