Awwwww you were in my hometown. Gosh I wish I had known. I grew up in Boca. Born and raised. My family has a home in Delray now. Palm beach also has incredible places. Church mouse, goodwill ambassador, and antique row. Antique row is my favorite. Incredibly rewarding experience. The shop owners are super friendly and prices are negotiable. Before it was trendy to buy vintage. I would get lots of YSL, Dior at the goodwill for cheap. Now it’s hit or miss.
That metal industrial thing is used to unload trucks. When I worked in the back room at target they would stretch it out and it helps push heavy boxes down the line to be sorted
I definitely like the idea/concept of repurposing stuff, like the jacket for a chair! 👍 But also the jacket suits you very well! So maybe wear it a season or two and _then_ repurpose it. 😊
Haven’t thrifted in Boca but I’m in central Florida, and 5 min from me is a great place- Lakeland Antique Mall, it’s MASSIVE, it’s almost like a museum. There’s some art and random collections but overall I always find something I love. Lots of Disney lovers go there, in the back there’s a giant section of stuff from Disney hotels (not vintage necessarily) but ALSO Disney props, and some Universal studios props and decor. So wild! They had a ride car and a full size velociraptor statue. We have a decent Goodwill in South Lakeland, it’s big. There’s also a smattering of vintage stores throughout Lakeland. Shout if you ever come this way 😁
Jackets a must! Looks good on you. Remember, you wear clothes, not the clothes you. More thrift trips...YES PLEASE! hanging out with you is a blast. You have a way of bringing possibilities to objects, I love that. That expendable metal thing you saw is called a Roller Conveyor. They're used in factories to roll boxes on to trucks etc..
Soooo totally captivated by yellow this year. That outfit is FIRE! The Sweater Jacket is one of the most stylish things I have ever seen...Great Choice!
This was fun. Your eye for potential is incredible. I love thrifting... someone else's donated items is someone else's art or joy! Wear it. Much better with out the shoulder pads. I cant believe i am saying that... born in the 70, living life to the max in 80s and 90s. Shoulder pads, leg warmers and Pat Benatar.
That jacket is so you. Either black jeans or leather pants with lace up boots it would look so hot! Personally having given the jacket a wash inside and out, I’d wear it with no shirt underneath or a lace singlet! You would be so hot! That’s not how I thought Boca Raton was. I was an EA to an executive in GE and they annually had a senior conference there. I didn’t expect there to be goodwill shops there. I half expected everything to be gold plated and exclusive. Clearly not the case but it certainly had some treasures for you to find! Keep hunting my friend from Neil in Australia 🇦🇺
Hi, I accidentally found you on the tube…so glad I did! I enjoy both your process & talent! I live in Delray Beach and I too visit the different stores that you highlighted on your video. The Restore is definitely my favorite. There are a lot of great thrift stores in West Palm Beach which is just a short drive. The jacket looks great especially without the shoulder pads.
THAT’S A PROPER SPORT BIKE JACKET! Usually they have removable body armor (as you just found out…don’t throw them away if you ever resell the jacket or get a fast motorcycle). And you do want the jacket to be snug if riding a motorcycle as the faster you go, the wind has a way of finding any loose edge and making your jacket into a Stay-Puffed affair.
The restore in Delray is my favourite. Have purchased a lot of furniture for our condo and even bought a couch and four lamps to bring back to Canada. The goodwill never has anything worthwhile. Enjoyed this video.
Love finding new op shop! one of my favourite things! find when I travel anywhere! excitement of the Unkown. We've a salvage place I go to. I watch, tuck things away, there prices are too high for location & venue I know they check online. I've bought great items when they put on sale I've been lucky everytime when I go in everyday, watch the pieces. Tese expensive places always have sale bec' they're over priced & then need to move stock. Last one was COOL!
The table with the rollers is used to unload trucks at the stores. They are flexible and can be curved through warehouse shelving. They are accordion-like and can be expanded quite far.
Nice Score on the leather jacket. I found a sports jacket for $10 at V V that my friends call a magic jacket, because it fits like it was made just for me, and no matter what I wear with it I look GOOD! definitely magic! Looking forward to more of these thrifting videos!
I read that the roller conveyors are being used in different areas for different jobs. I work for the post office for 35 years so far, and we also use them to roll down trays of mail from machines to huge containers called GPCs (general parcel container) 😂
Haha yeah it’s pretty bad ass! And yeah you can check out my choreography IG @andrewharperchoreography. Not too much new stuff lately but I’m working on that!
Cool outfit! I bought a very cool NEW with tags never worn Tommy Hilfiger $5 AUS not sure US I grabbed it before they changed the price! haha.. Loving now I have a bit of a thing for his brand great quality. It was a a tiny op shop NOT a big chain or it would have been $30-60 AUS! at least You know Salvos, Red Cross etc
I live near Delray Goodwill, not a good store...Next time you are in south Florida go World Thrift on Dixie Highway,,fabulous! exit 10 off 95. My all time favorite thrift store.
The jacket looks great on you! If you want it to be a bit more streamlined, maybe you can take out some of the pads around the shoulders and/or upper arms. Okay, I'm off to your next thrifting video.
I took a suede jacket apart a couple months ago for the suede to use later. So my answer is no, taking the jacket apart seems very logical. I recycle, reuse, and repurpose most everything I put my hands on.
I'm a sucker for jackets. Vintage and new. "No more outerwear,' my significant other has declared on more than one occasion. "But a zebra can't change its stripes." Because its stripes are its favorite jacket.
Hahaha… you definitely look like a super hero in that jacket!!!
That leather jacket looks amazing on you. Great find.

Who needs another jacket. Upholster the chair. Coolest chair in town!!
That metal industrial thing is used to unload trucks. When I worked in the back room at target they would stretch it out and it helps push heavy boxes down the line to be sorted
That’s awesome! Thanks for letting me know!
Technically I believe it’s called a conveyor belt
Yes! Used in lots of factories and warehouse distribution centers as well. It's called a skatewheel conveyor or gravity conveyor!
I was thinking stretcher yow
That jacket IS awesome.⭐

I’m from Winter Haven! I live in Georgia now, but Lakeland definitely has such great antique shops!❤
@@MonicaBazemore I was born in WH! Small world!
I love the jacket - removing the shoulder pads made it perfect!

What a great video again. like the positive vibe you project. Every time a video of yours comes available i get a smile on my face too. Keep it up
Thank you so much! I’m so glad my videos bring a little joy for you! I appreciate your support ❤️
I believe the expandable table with wheels, is used to move caskets ⚰️. Odd that they would have it.

What's good in West Palm? Live in the area and have only thrifted in Boca and Delray so would love to know more places!
Jacket is a keeper! Love your videos - new subbie here :)

The jacket is awesome. My thinking is if you buy it, you get to decide how you will use it.
This jacket is awesome!
Thank you! I think so too!
Love the jacket! It's a keeper
Thank you! Agreed! 🙌🏻

Tear the jacket apart. Drop the vee neck shirts. Thanks for taking us thrifting with you.

Wow!! You live in Newman!?! I’m from Carrollton, but I live in the San Francisco Bay Area now!! 😮
Oh awesome! Carrollton is my go to place for liquidation shopping! I’m actually gonna do a video on that next month I think!
@@REISSUED is Robinson Salvage still there? My folks knew the people who owned it!
Ain't nobody messing with you in that jacket 😊. Also do you have a dance reel or snippets you'd like to share?

The jacket looks SO much better without those dumb shoulder pads. 👍👍
What was the name of store where you got the jacket
It was the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Delray!
Wear the jacket!
Absolutely! Im loving it so far 😎
Absolutely!
Perfect for cool weather with or without a white tee.
😺✌️
That weird, expandable, industrial ,table-thing on wheels is a casket / coffin rest. I know
because I once dated a mortician.[long story.. lol]
Yeah!!!!
FedEx, UPS, and a good tailor.
It is your jacket. Your money. Do what is right for you.
👍
Oh yes. 1,000% better without the padded shoulders.
If you're not going to wear the leather jacket please, pass it on. Use something in bad shape for the chair.
The large metal industrial thing is used to carry Casket.
