Thanks for watching! If you don’t put it on very thick when unrolling the bale, it won’t kill the grass. There’s so many variables to that answer. If I unroll the hay the other way, it will put it down thicker and sometimes will kill the grass, but it will come back 2-3 times thicker and stronger. Also, if you put it down thicker and they eat it all, it will come back without killing the grass. I sort of do both depending on the ground.
I've been doing it to unrolling on ours I've heard it will cum back thicker and better. Ours pasture is only a few years old thinking it will take a few years to get thicker and then should be able to have a few more cows on it .
@@ronaldmcgill5124 it does take a few years for sure by the fourth year it blossoms. I have 2 acres that I started in 2020 that looked amazing last year.
