Elantra V6 New Bumper, Engine Overheat Repair in a Bottle WORKS - VLOG 012

Few updates on our Project Elantra V6.
The car's engine was overheating and consuming coolant. Rebuilding an overheated all-alloy engine is usually a pain, complicated by having two cylinder heads to reface. Thankfully a bottle of Abro Stop Leak resolved the problem. How long it will last remains to be seen.
We wanted to update the car's looks, while making space for the various heat exchangers on the front. A front bumper from a 7G Galant VR6 "Viento" proved to be the hot ticket. We riveted the bumper onto the stock Elantra bumper, While not 100% spic, it sure looks balanced with the rest of the body lines.
Elantra V6 took a 3-leg break from the Slalom races, rejoining in the 5th round held in Parang Playground, Marikina last June 4, 2023. We weren't able to finish our hydraulic drift handbrake setup and so just ran the car, practicing our left foot braking to pivot the car on the faster corners of the course. Fast is a relative term - never left first gear so likely barely exceeded 50kph if at all!
