The last line says it all...wow.... "Im nobody, but in the videogame world, i'm somebody" this man just wants to be loved. Life is hard. He let the lie go way too far, though, and once he started suing people for telling the truth - he lost any sympathy from me. UA-camr Karl Jobst is the real legend of the situation.
I found this sad. He is clearly insecure or hurting about something which is why he feels the need to lie about everything. Video games seem to be the only thing he feels like he has in his life.
The last 30 seconds basically give us the motive he had to lie about his high scores. He was desperate to be a somebody and it was the perfect opportunity to invent himself as this videogame god. Once the ruse was discovered, he was exposed as this pathetic loser and the whole thing came crumbling down.
He’s pretty low intelligence, he married a crack head who it sounded like made his life a misery (her death was a lucky break for him lol) he’s living in squalid conditions not able to afford furniture, obviously not worked in a long time and living off gubment cheese. What else is there for him except the video game records, and now he doesn’t even have that.
Man I feel bad for the guy. He obviously lives a pretty bad life and lying about his high score in some video game from the 1983 that no one even plays isn't that big of a deal. He didn't get rich off it, he didn't fuck other people over, he's just a sad guy.
Im pretty sure the living conditions you see were not doctored for the film. Ive also looked up Hernando county cases on Todd and his life was pretty much a huge mess of struggles. This is definitely legit.
Well maybe it's to show his life isn't perfect or too juice up the drama for the doc. Honestly, I can see his life being shit, but it seems shit enough to be more of a movie than real life.
@@ISLAVERDE29 it appears to just be emphasizing that Todd went on a long rant over his life being shit. Obviously it's more interesting than the stupid spider stuff, but I see why they did it.
I dont see any room in all that clutter and mess for a bed or mattress to even fit. Looks like an older manufactured home which would have very tiny rooms

This is the reason why our parents were so scared of us playing so many video games. None of them wanted us to turn out like this guy.
@@juniorsanchez7441 dumb logic. there are millions of gamers in the world and how many of them became a pro gamer?

He sues people for pointing out that he’s a fraud.
@@thelivingdrawing2262 Well, he tries to. Since he isn’t rolling in hot sauce money like his buddy Billy, he can’t afford to go all out.
I don't. Because he continues to lie instead of owning up to it.
@@venericanone he's pretty much off the radar, as far as I know

0:22 When Todd uploaded a photoshopped photo of TV with fake Dragster record.
I lol'd
Can't tell if his sorry life story is real, and a seemingly good reason for why he ended up being a lying cheater, or if it's just another lie.

Todd Roger's invented the ponytail
It started with one exaggeration. and Im sure Activision pushed him to promote their games.

he lives in a total dump, at least have the decency to clean up and sleep somewhere more dignified than a pile of blankets among trash on the floor
I wonder if he bothered to invest in a bed yet as of 2022?
I heard he's too depressed to even flush after taking a dump after the time.
that's Mr. Activision to you, bud
kinda understand(not justify) the lies, he himself thinks he is a nobody and the only thing of value he has ever done are his fake records
I feel sorry for the guy now, which is what he may have intended for

yeah it was in the documentary Chasing Ghosts, this was lifted straight from it, no cuts.
