    I have a feeling people who have not started to even plant are the ones complaining about how long the video is also at least you are actually learning something aside from spending money on nonsense. I am a beginner and love what they do. I felled in love with growing my own plants due to the corona-virus so... I guess thank you? And thank you for this awesome videos, I sincerely enjoy it.

    I use similar method but I cut the green leaves all the time to use in salads & stir fry leaving roots intact. Delicious & easy.

    I like this system of propagating garlic. We have planted garlic directly into our garden but that has not been successful. The drought & water restrictions affecting our part of Australia killed the crop. However, this system allows the plant to develop strong roots & stems ready for planting into a large pot or a garden that can be watered. There is no such thing as too much garlic.

      So how long did the bulbs take to mature? Did you need to keep the soil moist?

      @@Mantras-and-Mystics We planted new garlic 2 weeks ago. Now our Summer. All have sprouted & are doing well. They are mulched & watered at least once per week if no rain. It will take about 9 months for them to mature. Happy gardening😃

      @mrfixitusa6165 4 роки тому +6

      @Basil Rathbonez you didn't watch to the end did you?
      They just use the water to start and easily monitor the root growth.
      They keep the bulb together just to simplify the process of keeping the cloves suspended on top of the water. It also allows one to sprout 15 or so cloves for bottle. Ten bottles = 150 sprouted cloves instead of 15.
      At the end of the video, they DO separate the cloves and plant them in dirt.

      @Basil Rathbonez So much anger over a person trying something different. Perhaps their way isn't better, but experimenting sometimes leads to new and beneficial discoveries. Why so many people are rude about this person's efforts, I don't understand.
      Also, I think it's entirely possible you're not examining climate differences that may be at play here. Based on the language used in the the video type (besides the english), there is a legitimate possibility that the person making this video is from a climate where garlic needs to be cold stratified in the refrigerator, and that would mean they need a big head start on rooting afterwards in order to get a good crop. Something you and others who are critical might also want to consider.
