He hits it right on the head. I'm a "recovered" alcoholic. God is the answer to recovering. AA is being watered down, but the solution is still the Lord. Like the speaker say, you have to replace the feeling and ease and comfort with a true peace and joy. Great message.
My husband has been surrendered to God and has been in treatment of Alcoholic disease and he has still been in struggling with it and abused me and himself a lot. I have not known how to help him to understand the God's words and really surrender to God to be free totally. I have drained out of his drinking. I pray the Lord to touch his mind, heart to change him to be free from alcoholism. God, please heal and save him. Amen
1 Peter 3:1-2 [1]Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, [2]when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.
I truly hope you read this. I am former alcoholic. Temptation is there and it’s hard to say no. The devil will put in your head that it’s ok to go ahead and have a drink. He will make you miss the taste alcohol and the way it makes you feel. But I can tell you put your trust in JESUS and the temptation will go away and when you do that you will feel lifted up and happy because you know you are doing the will of the father. If you give in the next day you will feel so depressed and at a loss because you feel like you lost all the progress you make. Please don’t give in GOD will bless you for it.. But if you have you have forgiveness in CHRIST if you confess your sin and ask for forgiveness he will forgive you. Please do not think this is a way to keep giving in to the temptation and thinking you can just say sorry it doesn’t work that way GOD knows the intention of our hearts pray that GOD will deliver you from this and he will. Praise be to Christ my redeemer
The Devil comes to kill and destroy. You are no exception. Look at the epidemic of young people dying. 12 step programs do work, if you are honest and humble enough to realize that you need help. God
I am not a drinker . I don't condemn those who do. But when you can't tell the church from the bar down the street we have a problem. It's not that Christians are better than the world it's just we are to be a testimony for what God can do for us. But if we look, act like the world what is the difference. They will know you by the fruits of the spirit !
Sharon Barnes the only downside to this is every drunkard doesn’t begin with a full case of alcohol, they always begin with one, moderately. The Lord helped me overcome it! Am a preacher’s kid and I tried it once moderately thinking I would control it but it won me over, every party I went to had it and I’d leave drunk. It’s better to get to heaven with one eye than to hell with two. Billy is right, it’s best to just leave it because its domination power is very strong. God bless you!
Sharon, you are wrong! Jesus turned water into wine but not alcoholic wine, not booze! If you don't take that first sip, you'll never have a risk of being drunk, and it doesn't take that much to become intoxicated.
In theory you are correct, but the problem starts there, at first you drink in moderation or only socially, I did for many years, then slowly, without you noticing, it starts to creep up, to the point that other people notice it, but you
Look man I drink, I eat And I entertain eather watching sports or being in a feast but I see how the drinker can act !!! Don't let these be a game changer !

I confessed my alcoholic sins to Jesus, repented, and asked him for forgiveness. He freed me.
Right on. You never have to live like that again.

I’m glad. I found this video. Im tired of the alcohol. It has cost me so much. Thank you
May God deliver every drunker.
A by-product of my wanting to pray and praying the sinner's prayer took my desire to drink away 39 years ago!
Thank you for this wonderful sermon. I needed this.
What a great message from a great man.

Would love to know when this was done by Billy Graham and what the statistics are now.
The statistics aren't good. Most people won't turn their life over to God. When people did, there were greater numbers.
If the statistic included all intoxicants the number would be astronomical.
Moderation is a virtue, born of faith in Jesus Christ. Alcohol is not evil per se...abuse of it is.

Drinking is a sin along with smoking and chewing

No one has ever made a better decision after even one drink.
Think of why you need it. Give it some serious thought.
great vid
What should I pray that my dad can stop drinking because I have not seen him sober since I was born
I wish I was able to fix it. I am an alcoholic
Today , I really wanted a drink . I kept thinking of Billy graham and I did not give into temptation.
