When Ford quit making the E series vans and went to the unibody construction Quigly forun it was too difficult to het parts for E series and warehouse a dying horse
@@jangayle5849 This was our favorite van up til now. We’re not pleased with the original quality of the new van but once we get the stuff repaired I’m sure our new van will high up on our list of vans we’ve owned.
Our Sportsmobile has sold. Our following videos on our channel give more information on the sale and what we’ve purchased since. Thanks for watching!!!
Well, to start with, we didn’t want to wait the two years in line for a new rig from Sportsmobile. With all of the used rigs for sale at the time there were some options we wanted to stay away from. Primarily the Ford 6.0L diesel engine. Other options were a compromise, just like all things in life really. The ideal build would have included the Atlas transfer case for sure but we found the Quigley build quite capable and had zero issues with it. We weren’t ever going to treat our rig like a rock crawler and realized this option worked very well.
@@americanpromisedland yeah availability is a huge factor. I wouldn't want to wait two years either. 👌And staying away from the 6.0 diesel is an absolute must unless you plan on doing a Cummins swap 👍
@@cfh4201969 Yes. Overall this was still a very good build. This got us wherever we wanted to go. And we got the chance to dip our toe into the Sportsmobile world. Some really great owners out there. And Alan Feld is a great guy. Glad to them succeed at their own venture.
Too bad that van will never see the true life of camping people that buy these things never go camping they go out for a weekend they might go out for a month that's pathetic you should give that thing to me I'll put it to good use but whatever doesn't matter that thing will rust out before you even go camping in it
Cheap build, all the same equipment all the van builders have. Aluminess, bumpers and lights.
I like 4x4 heavy duty RV so beautiful .
We really loved that van. Just a little too tight on the inside with our new dog.
Sportsmobile used to use Quigley. They parted ways awhile back.

Just a class “B”

Yes it is. One of the few reasons we sold it and got a new van.

Why in the world would you or anyone opt for the Quigley four-wheel drive when the sportsmobile 4 wheel drive system is far Superior??

Find me some better free music and I’ll use it. Promise!
God hopefully you can drive better than your camera abilities or that van is toast ! Horrible music too!
Terrible video editing.
Thanks!!!
