Etsy will close your shop on Black Friday if you dont do this NOW!

- With a big surge in sales (hopefully) on black Friday there is a chance that Etsy will actually close your shop!
The more open orders you have the more chance your shop will get closed - so get to the post office now if you have any pending orders

I expect to get 1 or 2 orders this year. I was getting 20-30 a day in 2020/2021.
I hope it is better than that for you. I have noticed I am selling very different things this year than in the past
Wow thanks for this info. I shut my shop down for 2 years and I had no idea they were doing this. I feel like Etsy shouldn’t be deciding any one shop’s limitations. I just got dinged on an order that came Friday evening but couldn’t ship it out until Tuesday because our post office has limited open hours. Then I forgot to put the tracking in until 3 am the next morning so it marked it as late even though the customer should get it by today. I can’t help the post office being closed on Monday 🤷♀️
Yup I understand why Etsy did it - it is to protect buyers - but I dont like it, its our business to run our own way
Wait so the 35 orders that came in on Wednesday for my shop is going to fuck me over? Sigh
We dont know how many sales Etsy counts as too many so they might not be an issue. Etsy will email you if they consider you have too many orders, hopefully you will be OK
I think only if you’re letting those orders sit, if you’ve shipped them out and taken care of them I wouldn’t worry.

Yes I will try and make a more full video on the subject. I just wanted to get the advice out quickly to hopefully help people at the last min. Shorts sometimes reach a larger audience too
What about orders that take a week to make?
We dont know the exact number of sales that Etsy considers too many buy it seems to be a really high number so hopefully you should be OK.

All caught up with orders... last year I had one person take advantage of my Black Friday sale... let's see if I can top that this year. Would two orders count as a sudden influx? (JK) Thank you for keeping us informed!
:D hopefully you get way more than 2 orders. The cyber week is so random its really hard to predict who will do well
@@PamDuthie Thank you, dear lady! Ten of fifteen orders so far this month have been whale ornaments, which I make as orders come in (I have multiple color options). I'm hoping for some ready-to-ship orders to clear some inventory! My craft room closet is exploding!

Yes it is a little. I wanted to get the advice out to as many people as possible, I hate how the algorithm works but if you look at my past videos, the clickbait ones reach many more people than the educational titles. I want to help people but I cant help them if they dont click - so for them to click I have to experiment
