I loved this! I keep three notebooks separately -my journal, journal just about stuff my kids say, and a food journal. Now I’m inspired to get them all together!

I love having everything in one place! Also, kudos to you on keeping that notebook with the things your kids say. You will treasure that later!

Haha I have such good intentions…my mother has full books of poetry she wrote about her kids, and I’ve got like three pages😂
Also, I meant to say that I really loved your day calendar with the pictures and doodling. I often doodle but that is next level connecting it to your day👍🏻

I’ve started taking photos of things I might want to draw and then doodling while we watch tv in the evenings. It’s really relaxing!

I've split mine and use 2 TN's. One with all the planners, and a sticky-note insert. That one goes everywhere with me. And my journal, commonplace and stickerpaper insert stay in another TN, which I don't carry around with me. If I need to make a commonplace note, I use a sticky and transfer it over when I get home.

Oh, that's a really clever way to use the sticky notes! I need to really think about what I use regularly at home vs away from home.

@fromjenn I rather have everything in one. But it gets too chunky, and I'm not a big fan of the inserts sticking out an inch or two. I rather have everything neatly tucked in.

I am trying to see if a TN will work for me. This was incredibly helpful with those thoughts, thank you Jenn!

Love your camel and your set up. Good to know I can add another insert to my camel. I have a yearly calendar, a daily food diary and a daily jot it down so I don’t forget my life. Now I can add another insert for journaling. Thank you so much. Happy new year and keep on writing your life.

Yes! Four should fit fine. I still think five might be pushing it, but it’s so nice to have everything together!

I was a moleskin pocket baby for a few years. I like you wanted more space. We kind of plan together. I’m a senior disabled so I have a little life.

I used to use Moleskine pockets too. For years. My life, too, has quieted down, especially since my son is grown and out of the house. If this seems like too much, I think I might offload the monthly content planning into another book that stays in my desk at home.

I love my narrow Chic Sparrow
Cover because it holds ALLLLL the inserts! It’s so nice, you might want to look into it!

      Oooh...look at all those elastics!

My chic sparrow strider arrived yesterday. The leather is beautiful but I’ll never use it as a travelers…I put my Midori Travelers inside of it, like a cozy jacket for my beautiful Midori.
Those extra elastics simply pull and crumple the leather with inserts inside. My Midori never pulls 😊
      What can I say, I’m a loyalist!

This looks like a great set-up. I don't think it's too much but in the end it all depends on how much of it you use regularly throughout the day. Maybe one section is something you only use at night, or only in one particular place and that can be removed into another planner specific for that need. I'm always trying new things and have not found the perfect fit for me just yet. Thank you for sharing your set-up I think that may work well for me.

After using it for a week or so, I'm toying with moving the monthly content planning out of my everyday carry. We'll see how things shake out over the rest of the month, though! Wishing you lots of fun and inspiration in finding your perfect fit.

Love this so much. what pens and colouring pens do you use for your daily drawings/writing on the grid paper?

    • @fromjenn
      @fromjenn  8 місяців тому +1

Sometimes I just use whatever fountain pen I have to hand, but more often I use Micron pens in various tip sizes with Prismacolor pencils to color. On rare occasions I’ll even use watercolor. With a light hand, it doesn’t leech through or buckle the paper (much), which I was surprised by!
