    I already have a fuse add on 10amp INJ slot of my Alpharexx headlight . Could I still add this fuse into the INJ together with my headlight?

  • @ralphdieringer1050

    Never used the add a fuse connection before.... Can someone validate what I am thinking please? This question is related to plugging into the interior fuse box. I need to remove a fuse from the fuse box. This slot is the IGN slot. I plug that fuse into the add a fuse extension along with the one provided in the TGP kit. Right?

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  3 роки тому +1

      That sounds 100% correct! And then you plug in the add a fuse!

      If you visit our product page you can see what they look like turned on. Also, in the video we show it as well. We didn't use a switch - our kit is tapped in to a switch that activates the lights when the vehicle is turned on. Here's the product page: trailgridpro.com/shop/lighting/raptor-lights-white/

    Hey noticed that the add a fuse you plugged in had a 15A when the one you replaced with the add a fuse was a 10A. Just wondering if that matters?

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  2 роки тому

      As long as it's an ignition fuse location you will be fine. You can also use the 10a INJ fuse location in the engine bay fuse box if that's easier!

      I think thats the reason that my dash is flickering every now and then. I have mine as 2-10a. Did everyone have an issue with a flickering dash also? Ill try to change one of the fuses to 15a to see if it will make a difference.

    I have a 2021. My fuse box is completely full, I would need to remove the IGN no.3 and the replace it with the add a fuse. It won’t mess anything up yeah? I’m a noob to all of this!

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  3 роки тому +2

      You can also use your 10a INJ fuse in your engine bay fuse box if that’s easier. And it’s okay if locations already have a fuse - the add a fuse allows you to tap (for lack of a better word) into an existing fuse location to gain the functionality of that fuse location.

    Dont put it through the fire wall - you can install them in the main fuse box in the engine bay in the 10 volt INJ fuse

      Yep, you're absolutely correct that you can do that! However, we opted to direct viewers to inside the cabin so that the 10a INJ fuse can be left available for aftermarket headlights DRL's or if they already have aftermarket heads. Thanks though for watching and commenting! We appreciate ya!

      @@maplesmayhem8499 Ah, then you’re probably in the incorrect fuse spot in the cabin fuse box. You’re not looking for an empty slot, you’re looking for the fuse location that’s activated with ignition power. In our 4Runner TRD Pro it’s the location row closest to the exterior of the vehicle and 8 fuse locations back from the front of the vehicle. You’ll remove the fuse currently in the location, add it to the add-a-fuse empty slot, and then put the add-a-fuse in the same location slot. I’ve heard people say use the ACC slot with add a fuse and piggy back on to that fuse. And is this a 2020 or newer? Seems like the fuse box inside are different. Also does it matter what amp add a fuse you buy? Example: if we piggy back on to a 10A would I need a 10A or higher? Wondering if it’ll do any damage if I do this wrong.

    Yo, I just bought your kit, for my 2017 sr5 4Runner.
    Tell me how, are you gonna provide a video code to the instructions (this video) and say in the paper that the new kit doesn’t require routing through the fire wall, and proceeding to sell a kit that can’t even connect to the engine fuse box and not even long enough to fit in the cabin fuse box to go around that initial problem.
    P.S. UPDATE YOUR DAME ADD-A-CIRCUIT TOO IF YOUR GONNA SHORTEN THE WIRES. ITS TOO DAME THICK TO FIT IN GROOVES OF THE ENGINE FUZE BOX.

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  Рік тому

      Yep, you're absolutely correct! We have all of that noted in our instruction guide included with the kit. Also, you're going to want to make a notch in your engine bay fuse box to fit the wire. It's a much easier installation than the video explains since you don't have to go into the cabin anymore. We appreciate ya!

  • @robertwehlau8906

    Hi. Where is the fuse located to use under the hood fuse box vs going thru the firewall plug? Will the fuse cover box lid still close? And what would you use the for the ground wire? Thx

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  3 роки тому +1

      You can use the INJ fuse in the fuse box under the hood and most 4Runners have a 10mm bolt on the side wall near the fuse box so you can use that as a ground. The fuse box won’t close so when we use the fuse box for this install we carve a little notch in the side of the lid to allow for the wires to freely move out of the box and the lid will close.
