Zayn being seen with a producer five days after leaving one direction and then releasing his album on the anniversary of him leaving is honestly such a boss move of his I love ur video essays sm jasmine they’re just so good
OH MY GOD JASMINE THIS CAME JUST WHEN I NEEDED IT!!! I was literally wanting something to celebrate zaynie so bad. just needed something healing in these trying times. thank you, queen
Zayn clearly knows his huge starpower and how big he is despite being lowkey , he just wants to protect his mental health which i completely respect and understand but I know one day if he decides he will be king of pop ! The barber shop thing is so true I have seen his posters globally there is not a single barber shop in the world who don't have that single strand pic or Zayn's 2011 spikes pic or the iconic golden strand pic . He's been trendsetter for so many things not only in fashion and hairstyles but lifestyle too, The moment Zayn said he farms there is bunch of other k pop artist talking about farming. Also he is idol of the idols like Zayn is the idol for the k -pop ! He is once a phenomenon and is huge without doing anything! There will be no other Zayn even Simon cowell was recently hunting for new Zayn and was giving interviews talking about it but he couldn't it's not possible! You can't create another Zayn Malik, Justin Bieber,Taylor Swift the aura they have is unmatched its one in an era! Found your channel through this video! I am subscribing,I am born in 2010's so I don't know that decade well your channel is interesting to me❤
honestly, i’ve never been a big r&b girl so the first 3 albums i appreciated but weren’t my holy grails. but room under the stairs? girl. she’s a diva, she goes off, his vocals & the writing on this album, chefs kiss. i’m so glad he felt pulled in this direction, it suits him so well!
I literally love all of his albums. Icarus falls is my everyday listen. I do want nothing but success for Zayn. He has a unique talent and a humble spirit that is refreshing to see. ❤️🖤
Zayn always had more depth and was contemplative, which was finally released when his did solo projects, to me "room under the stairs" is his most honest body of work. He finally just let go and fell in love with creating and exploring the music he wanted to make and said and sung what weighed on him. Ruts is my go to album of 2024/25 and I'm so incredibly proud of him for going back and owning that stage after 8 long years of struggle and live is even better than polished album tracks!! 💛
THANK U i love zayn in 1D appreciation train and i will NEVER miss an opportunity to speak on how freaking PRETTY and crazy vocally talented he is and has always been. i remember the fandom/ppl outside the fandom insisting that all the boys ”bombed their auditions” like no MA’AM NOT ZAYN
Hi Jasmine, thank you soooo much for doing this little tribute on his birthday. Im waaaaayyyyy tooo old (52) to be a 1D fan but i came across Zayn in March 2024. It was when he released an Urdu song with a pakistani pop group AUR. His vocals hit so hard in that beautiful song which alot of English-speaking fans unfortunately cannot appreciate as much. So, intrigued by him i looked him up and released he was none other THE ZAYN MALIK from 1D, that cute kid with a blonde streak in the hair. From there on i was obsessed, when through all of 1D era, MOM, IF, NIL and finally RUTS. And, im shocked to find why oh why he is NOT as big as Harry???? Anyway, i went to the ONO in london (Phenominal), and his current SWTTS tour. I went to london and Edinburgh. I Had the time of my life and i wanna tell people that due to his promotions, that why he HAS found an older new audience that appreciates ALL of his discography. I feel like i know Zayn as a person. I just get him. He is PHENOMENAL, AMAZING. i just wanna meet him to tell him that he does appeal to audiences from ALL age groups. ❤❤❤ i wanna thank you for your video and ive seen allllll ur reaction videos. 🎉 Hope u getbto see him live i the US leg of the tour. 😊
Just wanted to comment as I have a similar story to discovering Zayn. I'm 46 and only discovered his music with RUTS. I've got so into his music and saw him at his show in Manchester in Nov. Just love him as an artist and person.
I never really got into zayn's music but this video made me want to listen to it! the past few years i could tell he was vibing and minding his own business and honestly i love that for him. he deserves it.
Loved this video, I'm so grateful that I got to see him perform live on his first tour🥺 Could you do similar videos for the others? I'd love to listen to a deep dive into Liam's career, even though it was short-lived
I am 15 yrs old and started listening to him in 2023 , got to know him in 2020 as a musician and realised that this is the same person whose poster is stuck on barber shops all around my city and I recognise him since birth since his billboards are everywhere from malls to barber shops! My fav songs as of now are: Dusk till Dawn,Golden , it's you, I won't mind falling, I won't mind ( unreleased), a whole new world , trampoline, false starts , sweat, outside , tightrope , flowers, Allah Duhai hai( Zayn's version which outsold the original) , pillowtalk, befour, entertainer , common , there you are , back to life , I don't wanna live , there you are are, tonight , cruel, stand still, satisfaction , lied to, time , stardust, what I am ❤
I absolutely agree, he could definitely be a mainstream artist & would definitely deserve to be one but I think it’s incredible how he stays true to himself and his style. This is what makes his music so amazing & literal art!🩵✨
I am a new 1D fan, I got into them after Liam's passing. I've watched your clips on them - they are very informative, thank you. I am definitely a Louis girl, love his new work, but I was very much into Oasis and Brit pop years ago, so I guess it makes sense. I also love Zayn's new work. But what I want to say - the "branding" of the boys was so wrong. The management didn't get it at all. Zayn wasn't mysterious and dark at all. He was mischievous, soft, sensitive, vulnerable. And probably the womanizer - I mean, he is gorgeous, looks like a model! And very confident with the ladies - I remember how he told the story of his first kiss. He had to step on a big brick to kiss the girl, because she was much taller than him. Now - that's real courage! And he obviously was so proud when he told the story, even volunteered to tell it! If anyone was dark and mysterious that was Harry. It's not a coincidence that so much of the fan fiction is dedicated to "Dark Harry". And Harry wasn't the womanizer at all, he was someone struggling to navigate adolescence in the public eye. I think he is still struggling to find his identity, as his later work musically is all over the place and his public image seems a bit fake and rehearsed. Louis has always been the most authentic one and the branding hardly touched him because his personality is so big and clear-cut. Niall is very well grounded and balanced, I envy his composure. And Liam was the most underrated one - he had a beautiful voice but had some personal struggles and wasn't very confident. And the public hate about every blunder he made, as well as his mostly unfortunate choices in women and advisers didn't help either. In the best case scenario he could have become the next George Michael, as prompted by his last release - Teardrops. Such a tragic waste! Keep up the good work!
Great vid., thank you love Zayn and your analysis of Zayn's career and it's trajectory I believe is spot on. One little thing, the tour is called Stairway To The Sky .
wnv i listen to MITAM I literally can tell ans feel what parts they would give to Zayn like u can tell it was lacking on the adlibs and high notes tho its still a great album but Z was so vital to 1D and no one can say otherwise
Loved the video ❤🎉 although mic was off😅 your voice and way of presenting is so calm 😊❤️ Zayn can hundred percent be at the level of the weekend, Harry styles ,Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande if he wants to atp he don't, it's very evident the way his little appearances get extremely viral and how every tweet about that news is a hit tweet! For eg: his unusual artistic b'day cake is viral ! His starpower is as huge as Justin Bieber especially in Asian countries he is one of the few most popular western stars . Local people in India like people who don't know english know Justin Bieber and Zayn Malik they can recognise them , they are more famous than Taylor here. Remember Paris fashion week 2024 his first public appearance in 6 yrs ( yes he completely disappeared from public eye) from Zayn and his team's reaction it felt that even they didn't expect the public to go crazy over him the same way as they were when he was in 2016 ! And his foot run over by car was running on news channels globally that he has to post he is ok! The fact that in this age of social media, Zayn stays completely off with tiktok, reels trends , no late night shows , no Grammy performance, no pr dating , no pap walk , no facade , genuine , honest staying true to himself his art , , prioritise his mental health stays completely lowkey and is still relevant only because of his music speaks volumes about his star power , they way he blows off just with a glance is enough for him to understand his potential to rule the industry but he chose not to and stick by his art which I hugely respect. Even now after the sad demise of late Liam payne (not to compare grief everyone grieves in their own way) the way Zayn post went viral over Harry and became 2nd most liked post on Instagram by a musician this year with over 20 million+ likes and his 3 million followers increased by his honest heartfelt heartbreaking line connected the public, it's just that connection which is never gonna break and Zayn knows it ! It's always like the world is waiting for him to make a move and they would go crazy ! And one day when decides to do that and is finally comfortable doing that superstar things no one can stop him from ruling the industry! Pop stars strives to make a brand whole their career Zayn himself is a brand he has that USB which no one has , his uniqueness to vocals ,looks , personality has an aura which only legendary celebs have in pop culture and is naturally inbuilt in him no one can snatch it ! It's him who is stopping himself for the sake of his mental health and I respect that!
I fell in love with One Direction/solos's only two and a half years ago. Just wanted to say thank you. I have really enjoyed watching your videos and learning all the details. ❤
Hey girl! It would be good if you use the anti pop (the little foam thing of your mic) bc it creates a barrier and it "prevents" those unwanted sounds! Love the video!
I really wasn't following or stanning Zayn that much yes i knew him from 1d and his incredible voice , listened to some of his songs until 2021 with nil i really started to discover him more and his personality i was sooooo happy really and had a huge respect for him ,then in 2024!! I'm not kidding the moment i finished listening to room under the stairs i become a stan immediately i was like daaaaamn that's real art not like the shit the other artists do l was really really impressed with the vocals the high notes soo good . A real talent real music so much love then l watched his interviews as i knew about it later after the album . He is so humble and down to earth man like i feel comfortable with his voice and what he talks about he is so much more than a handsome boy ❤ thank you 2024 for making me stan zayn and dive deeper into his masterpieces ❤ i wish him all the success and love he deserves so much more
The public is disgusting he is so soft and beautiful l started to know the real him in 2020 the man is so misunderstood you can see him in the interviews like wow he is so authentic . I love him solo the 1d was not giving him the credit he deserves
I will always remember when mind of mine came out such a special time of my life when I put that album on it takes me back to when it came out! Will always love it ❤
Dope video, I do like how you pointed out the importance of cover art. Zayn's best cover art thus far imo is the one for the Better single. I love it and thought he was gonna somewhat lean into an anime aesthetic for the Nobody Is Listening era but he sadly didn't. I do wish he did promote his albums more & that his former management teams fully invest in him. I do understand he suffers from anxiety and I'm glad he's doing better with it now. I love his first two albums since they leaned more on the R&B. With NIL, I wish he also released Sweat, When Loves Around, Tightrope, and Windowsill as singles. It's funny that with RUTS he wanted to move away from the R&B sound yet you can still hear the R&B, in his vocals, on the album.
Not that I don't like his previous albums they're great BUT ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS IS JUST PEAK ZAYN AND IT'S DEFINITELY SOMETHING I LOVE TO LISTEN TO EVERYDAY BECAUSE I ALWAYS DIG FOR SOME PEACE AND QUIET AND I HATE LOUD NOISES
His U.S. tour starts tonight and he will be coming to Los Angeles within the week and I'm soooo sad I won't be able to go 😪 my husband's a cop working at the L.A. fires and can't take time off and we've never hired babysitters before so I can't just leave my two sons with just anyone 😕😕😕
A question that has really been playing on my mind that I thought you may have thoughts on is.... Is James Cordon a handler is he part of Harry Styles management. I dont believe it is a deep friendship just because they e known him for ever. Louis' body language around him gets my intuition tingling. Harry us too nice a person to choose him as his side kick lets face it that man is no Oli. I prefer the people Louis surrounds himself with. Harry is surrounded by users. Cordon is really creeping me out he is a highly disliked man and he plasters himself all over Harry. What do you think?
I did feel Louis' body language towards James in L's later guestings in his late-night show...you can feel that L found out something...or heard something 🤷
