You can use training bands, some of them are actually decent for slingshots, but they will never perform as well as proper slingshot latex. The modern latex for slingshot has been developed to give you high speed and great reliability. Also, prices for slingshot latex are very affordable, sometimes cheaper than training bands. In this video I use 0.40 by 100%Slingshot, €7.50 for a 2 meters roll.

@tomb spider I think that would be overkill. I shoot 7mm steel ammo, too much raw power will cause hand slaps and erratic trajectories.
