My whole vocaloid/Utaite fandom is all because of this video. It's been years wow. Gumi was really my first and still my overall favorite. I remember i just found this on my youtube home page and a little curiosity with a single click opened me a new world of music to admire.
Today (june 26,2013) is her 4th anniversary and i came back to this video listening to this song again cuz this song started ALL my fandom over gumi AND the other vocaloids. I listened to no other musician/artist but only this vocaloid on my mp3, and i regret nothing. :) I hope more people inside and outside japan(i live in the philippines by the way) to recognize her more so they can hear how realistic she is.
they have also came really far with english vocaloids. They made one that can actually pronounce things in english and you can actually understand it. Look up "Big Al If I were a rich man" without the quotes, although he sounds like kermit the frog in alot of songs lol
this song Originally is about Hina Kagiyama, it's one of my favorite also that would explain why Gumi has her hair dressed up like Hina and her outfit is made to look like that of Hina
yes indeed she is it's not uncommon for vocaloid to use or make remakes/ cover or sing songs that originally belong to other series or things or so on it happens quite often. even with game and such like touhou. and even with anime theme and such too
....you don't know the REAL PAIN it takes to make her SING like that. unless you know how to deal faulty MIDI files and her unavoidable rasping sound, which are pretty much covered in some YT tutorials I've seen recently. still...THE PAAAAAAAIIIIINNNN

Look, first of all, Gumi can't speak at all since she's not actually real person (her voice provider is but not the product) secondly I'm actually ASIAN (Vietnamese to be specific) so it doesn't make me a "Weaboo" (meaning a Caucasian wanting to be Japanese.) also *which. Lastly I know Gumi doesn't have a personality whatsoever, but however I do not have a right to RP as some random UTAU unless they're from Vippaloid. Is it a problem that my own version of Gumi is what I want her to be?

Five years later and this still holds up as the most realistically sounding Vocaloid song in my book. Gumi has always had such a wonderful voice~
As she begins to sound more realistic, her voice become's much closer to Megumi.
