Drastically changed. More coming. I've only been here for 12 years and it's changed. Streets are looking different now, and feeling lost at times. I just pray Atlanta takes care of its long time residents and not push them out.

Even though Atlanta was the birthplace of both the 2nd.Klan, (1915-1944)and the 3rd Klan, (1946-present) it's always ommitted from the story of Atlanta's evolution.

Right that could have not been no earlier than the mid 70’s because the Westin Hotel wasn’t complete until 1975-1976

In 1997, gas got real cheap. I saw it at one station in the Atlanta suburbs for 58 or 59 cents a gallon. By the late 90s/early 2000s, it was up to about $1.50.

1950 pops up with a photo of cars on an interstate that appear to be from 60s and 70s.

What are you talking about? Whites built and established Atlanta, for the most part. Blacks were not even a majority in the city limits until the early 70s, and they are no longer the majority. People of different backgrounds have made Atlanta what it is since the mid 20th century.
