Way better with the OEM mid pipe, how do you even pass noise tests with the X-pipe? Here in the UK you would struggle to get on some tracks with just the OEM mid pipe and the super sprint back box. I welded a Y-pipe to a cheap ebay mid section on mine and used 2.5inch pipe for a single exit muffler. Looks very low key but sounds good.
@@TJS36 ido respect youre decisions though , its more race car , mines just a 1/4mile daily back home , and now tht im studying in the Netherlands ido miss it
hey ok it's been awhile since you posted this but what's the db eating at about 5-6k if you know? it's for a Laguna seca car and they're extremely strict about the noise levels under the bridge
Imo the car sounds better with the oem mid section. But it such a shame its so much heavier
Yeah was quite surprised by how heavy it was
Nice to hear te difference, great video!
Thank you for letting me borrow it!
@@TJS36 No problem!
Well it’s official, I’m getting old…. I prefer the OEM mid section
Haha I was positively surprised aswell with the oem mid section
Have you removed CDV on the gearbox?
Btw. Good video.
I would keep the x-pipe SS it’s more racy, and this is a track car not a daily.
Still have the CDV in. I agree, the Xpipe sounds a lot more racy

Only have been pulled of track at Zolder once for 0.3db over. Went back with the same exhaust setup later and didn’t get pulled off so all good😂
Does this bolt up to the stock E36 M3 headers? And does it bolt up with the stock E36 M3 exhaust?
Weight difference is the most important thing imho.
True
I like the supersprint X pipe
Same here!
Hey sorry best wel een filmpje van een jaar geleden, ik vroeg me af had je hier in dit filmpje de s50 spaghetti spruitstukken opzitten?
Ja dit is met S50 spruitstukken
OEM sounds much better, but you sure that's a stock 328i mid section ? Those pipes look much bigger, I think it might be an m3 part
It’s all M3
@@TJS36
Makes sense. Sorry if you said it in the video but honestly I kind of skipped to the sound clips, that's why I came here.
@@imnota haha, no problem
Did u measure how much noise (db) it was with x-pipe on drive by?
Oil pressure seems bit too low.
dont like the x pipe though, sounds to nasty (almost fart can)
or build youre own muffler (i did)
I’m a big fan of the nasty sound😂

@@travisbak9269 For a more street based car the OEM section is definitely better.

Hey, I clocked 95.8db at a local racetrack, around 6k rpm.
That’s with the full supersprint exhaust
@@TJS36 oh awesome! I'm keeping the factory muffler so I'll probably stay just under, thanks man!
Omg it's loud 😳
Yup very😂
How much do you pay for supersprint exhaust?
hows the mirror blindspot with the cage?
Not too bad, it's manageable
