- I was able to Ride the New @harleydavidson Sportster S!! I went in to this mostly unknown and never even Saw or Read a review of the bike!! After my ride it was Awesome to be able to get the motorcycle on the Dyno to see what it is really doing!!

I'm not interested in this Sportster S or the PA but I am excited for what HD will come out with around the Revolution Max engine....
I mean the set up to make some cool things are there that's for sure!! What if they make a bigger rev max motor!! 🤔

HD may be doing what musclecar makers did in the 60s. When say mopar targeted the 275hp chevy 327 with their new 340 they rated their 340 at 275hp even though it made more. 426 hemi replaced 426max wedge. Max wedge rated at 425hp so that was what the new hemi was rated at even though it made more. Then the big chevy 427 came out advertised at...... 425hp. Harley is targeting the FTR1200 or at least the FTR engine. They published near identical power numbers but in reality people may pleasantly find out the Sportser S is making much more power than published.
Well, that rev max motor is a de tuned PA .. so it could be not tuned all the way down!! Hahaha so I agree with you!!
@@Ridingfish Harley really needs to make the Bronkx with the 1250. Full 150 hp output too. Many are wanting this.
@@TheOverisel honestly I believe they will!!.. Indian sounds like they maybe coming out with another bike with the Challenger motor!! The HD will get the Bronx out of the closet!! Haha
Great review. Being a former V-Rod owner I'm glad to see HD stepping up their performance game. The S will be a formidable competitor to the Scout, but other than HP doesn't hold a candle to the FTR. Hopefully this will push Indian to up the power for a special edition Scout. Here's my take:
Likes: Power, Black and bronze theme, and those recessed switches.
Dislikes: Ugly exhaust, The big front tire, and that wide squared off front fender.
I like your takes.. I agree with you as this and the FTR don't really fit on the Faceoff... but I do believe that this is made to go after the Scout and it does push Indian to up their game!!
Dang, if it made 116 and 89 at the tire it probably is more like 135 and 100 at the crank..,
Yea I was surprised also!! Normally it's a easy 10-15% loss of power!!

I'm pretty sure I have it on my Instagram!! From that HD dyno shootout... also I will have another one from when I was at Toce Performance showing power gain with the new 2-1.. will be out by next Tuesday..

How would you compare the Sportster S in sport mode for roll-on power when compared to the stock Challenger 108 in sport mode for roll-on power?
Oh boy!! It kind of doesn't compare!! The S is much faster.. would like to tune VS the FTR
@@Ridingfish ---->On a scale of 1-10 for have fast the RPM's spool up when you nail the throttle, what would you rate the Sportster S when compared to your Challenger with the mods on it now?
@@amphibdriver1, This feels so hard for me to answer.. to revs pretty fast its revs like the scout or ftr! Not so much like the Challenger.. also revs much higher too

Yea but I know some big ass dudes on Indian scouts and I'm sure this is about that size... Toce Performance also had a Sportster S... they are on it!!
@@Ridingfish That Pan American is looking better and better for me...That aftermarket exhaust from Toce really wakes up that engine sound...
