    Where are the mothers of these poor calves? Mourning for their babies no doubt.

      I've seen cows have calves and walk away from them 😂😂. The mothers are too busy eating grass, theve long forgotten about the calf.

      @@derekfinn6077 humans can survive just fine without cow's milk. it is one of agricultures greatest perpetuated myths that we need cows milk for calcium. there are plant based foods without calcium, and nowadays most milk is homogenised and fortified with vitamins and minerals artificially. The dairy industry is one of Ireland's biggest polluters, effluent run off is polluting water tables and stretches of coastline all over Ireland.

      @@rosmutti listen we need animals to survive you like that or not we cant all try change that just to suit peoples frame of mind in regards to that if someone does not like milk or meat just do not consume it it's very very simple but animals with a food source for humans are needed and its that simple! I personal know 6 people who would die instantly if they consumed nuts or seeds I do not know one single person I've ever met youd die instantly from consumption of a meat, we are carnivores and you nor I can ever change that biological fact, milk and meat is needed so humans dont starve some may not agree with that fact of life but unfortunately theyll have to learn to except it and as for pollution think about that the next time your on a plane in a car,train or bus and remember its selective to blame everything else bar your own activities

    • @rosmutti

      @@derekfinn6077 we definitely don't need milk. we are the only mammals that consume the milk of another mammal. populations have survived without milk and with very little meat for thousands of years. Humans can eat small amounts of meat, yes, but the earth simply cannot support 7 billion humans consuming meat several times a day. At this stage, it's about protecting the environment. Or maybe you are OK with the Amazon being cut down to graze cattle and grow cereal and grains to feed cattle. You can eat a plant based diet without nuts and seeds. I see the pollution the Irish dairy herd is causing first hand every summer in Ireland. The Irish EPA writes reports about it. Read their reports on environmental damage caused by agriculture.

    How come i only see one driver on this transporter ? And you are happy to show the Irish Agricultural press only what you want to show the Public . the reality as you know is very well video evidenced in inhumane treatment of animals and abuse . Profit is your only consideration . You will not find any way of defending your participation this trade. The cattle ships from Ireland are even worse. Regulation is not effective throughout even within the EU, whose regulations are again of a politic lobby nature as opposed to Animal welfare . And are out of date with any Animal welfare thinking .

    • @CalvesFanatic
      @CalvesFanatic 4 роки тому +4

      I mean, these calves are in good condition. They don’t have to show all the drivers. There have been multiple videos of humane export; and there have been multiple cases of vegans paying/encouraging people to abuse animals

      Hate to beak it to you but farming is a business and profit is the objective like who would of thought 😂😂😂. The farmer has to treat he's animal brilliantly or else the animal won't perform and will make a loss. Why would someone go to all that effort to buy a product only to abuse it and make a loss?. Now I'm off to tuck into some delicious Irish beef 😊

      Do you have any experience in what your saying? How do you know irish calves are treated inhumanely as you've stated. Genuine question.

      @@H00FH3ARTED I have experience and these calves will have been starved for at least 24 hours. Nobody can argue that is humane. As they are only around 3 weeks old they are unweaned and dependent on milk. It's impossible to feed them in the trucks so they don't get fed from at least two hours before loading until they reach the resting point in Cherbourg which is after around 24 hours. That is not only inhumane it's in direct breach of Regulation 1/2005 on the transportation of animals which states that unweaned animals must be fed after a maximum of 19 hours. Some die on the way to France. Dead calves aren't worth anything but these go for around €5 - €10 in peak season so a few can be lost on the way without it digging into porfits.
