Okay but the dark humor part is my favorite thing about my good friend who lives just outside of Glasgow. I hit rock bottom in my life and his ability to be able to joke about it and get me to laugh was what got me through it
She says "the men were always drunk" come on. People drink all over the world. My dad (we're from Glasgow) had me at 18 years old and went out to work to feed me and the most he got drunk was on the weekend occasionally. What a stereotype!!?
It reminds me of the Still Game episode when Jack gets victors dead neighbours house, the scene at the wake when Jacks measuring the doors and halls is hilarious.
Different parts of glasgow. Remember, bourdain narrated that she married into a crime syndicate or something? Gotta be some rough parts.. Also did u look up male life expectancy or just life expectancy
That life expectancy thing was isolated to one or two towns in the east end of Glasgow. Even then but it's a stretch to say the least. More like 'at one point' kinda thing.
This was a bleak episode. Why the hell did they show him Glasgow by introducing him to the head of police, Godley (cringey AF) and a knife defence specialist. Should have shown him the Peoples Palace, River Clyde (science center area), The Cathedral and the West End (pick a nice restaurant in Ashton lane). He then goes on to the Highlands to meet posh millionaire English deer hunters. Maaaan I wish this episode had represented my city better 😢

Yeh, someone could die in front of me and I will make a joke about it. It won't do the deceased any good though.
An impressive amount of incorrect information for such a short video.
Care to enlighten us?
TheDonMorier yeah do tell
Typical, ay

The life expectancy definitely isn't 55
Well, well, well. You learn something new every day. What size were his shoes? 😂
Comedian is the least of her talents.
Iv never heard that expresion said in glasgow about Fathers dying,
Maybe it was just meant to give an understanding of the humor
It reminds me of the Still Game episode when Jack gets victors dead neighbours house, the scene at the wake when Jacks measuring the doors and halls is hilarious.
Yeah, I think it was just an example. It was meant to be illustrative.
It’s like she’s proud of all those negative things.
Please don’t think all people from Glasgow are like her.
I’d rather be like her than you
@@Lairdodunces why?
@@sirswigalot7506 cause she isn’t a wet blanket
Your comment promotes terrorism btw
@@Lairdodunces neither am I. I try to convey a positive image of Glasgow.
Pity tis an eejit he's breaking bread with here...plenty others coulda shown him a better time around Glasgow. RIP Tony B.
I'd be likethat " what size are his shoes? Fuckin size 8, here's one SMACK"
And then you’d get smacked back 10x times harder
A very quick Google says that Glasgow life expectancy is 71 years and Iraq is 69 years.
parts of glasgow have very low life expectancy but yeah you're right
Exactly, big difference between Mount Vernon and Possil Park.
She meant parts of glasgow
It's 58 in liverpool.

was she the only person CNN could drum up to be with AB..? wonder who suggested her..?
Janey Godley isn't one bit funny and she's talking crap about the shoes thing.
That life expectancy thing was isolated to one or two towns in the east end of Glasgow. Even then but it's a stretch to say the least. More like 'at one point' kinda thing.
It wasn't even a town statistic. It was for a neighbourhood and even then blown out of proportion.
Oysters is why he got into cooking.
55 my arse hahaha
Didn't catch what she said. "What size were his shoes, we ha ma"?
The Rogano? Last time I was there it was pretty mediocre. Used to be something better food wise. Nice decor though
exactly, seriously we honestly could have entertained Mr Bourdain better than that pot of soup !!!!!!!

That's the media for you, reinforcing stereotypes is the order of the day
Jeez, Janey Godley and The Rogano, try harder next time CNN
Janey and Anthony met??!!! 😮 both legends!
She's proud of her city having a very low life expectancy. I want to shout USA but Glascow's in Scotland.
“Glascow”
It's alright for her and her bourgeouis tastes. That accent isn't even Glaswegian.

Rip
Wow life expectancy is low in Scotland
Drink
It was only like that in one or two areas in glasgow, the rest of Scotland has roughly the same life expectancy as the rest of the Uk
It's a lot higher than that in Glasgow and Scotland. This documentary is crap.
