I would have liked to have had some commentary on where this is in the San Antonio metro area. I did hear some dialogue but it wasn’t loud or clear enough for me
At the Leon Valley City Council meeting this evening, during citizens to be heard, owner's of businesses, the Little League baseball fields, and roads were destroyed by Monday's storm. The City has a program to clean Leon Valley Creek of fallen trees, overgrowth, and trash, on an annual basis, to prevent debris form damming the creek and causing flooding, as the City and residents noticed the height of the creek rising as storms intensify. At the meeting, Mayor Riley stated this is probably the "new normal." Unfortunately, all the data is proving that the case. The Gulf Coast has more experienced intense hurricanes, flooding and temperature fluctuations over the last decade. It's amazing people in Texas are finally aware of their surroundings. But, there's too many people down there who simply do not care, even when it's happening in their own backyard with each season..... 100 year hurricane, 100 year coldest temperatures that lasted longer than any on record, and now flooding. Oh well, keep burning dinosaur sludge for electricity while the sun and wind are free. It's just moronic.
