The soda/sugary drinks is definitely my vice.. maybe seeing it not just from a health standpoint but also the money will help me ☺️🙏🏼 thanks Kyra! Greetings from Germany
I used to hate air drying my clothes because they would feel stiff, now that I switched to a more natural detergent and use vinegar instead of fabric softener. My clothes are still soft when I air dry them.
Guilty with keeping chargers plugged in. I tried unplugging them to save $. For us it wasn’t that much of a diff plus it was so irritating to have to go plug it in or plug our phones in and not auto charge. For the few $s it’s worth the luxury to just plug the phone and it’s charging.
Plug in freshers run your bill up too. I switched to Dollar Tree warmers. I use tealights because they're small & burn themselves out. For me, the tealights are a natural "timer."
When my kids were still at home, I did laundry all the time. But now that it's just me, I do laundry 4 X a month. Not once a week, but 4 X a month. Once a week is 52 times a year; 4 X a month is 48 times a year. That means there are 4 weeks that laundry doesn't get done. I do laundry every Saturday. Except those 4 Saturdays. But my options are: 1) Instead of doing laundry the Saturday before the off-Saturday, let it stretch out until Tuesday. Then the next Saturday is off. Then I won't be due to wash until the next Saturday, but I can wash a little early, like on Thursday. Then the next Saturday after that, I will be back on track (until next time there's 5 Saturdays in a month), or 2) just keep it all on Saturdays. I will end up going 2 weeks without doing laundry 4 times a year. I will be going to the bottom of the barrel for clothes to wear. (When I became minimalist, I did not do a capsule wardrobe.) I will be wearing clothes I hadn't worn in a while, but maybe that's good, to get more clothes worn instead of just sitting there.
I love the unplugging hack! I taught my dad this and we both been using this hack and trying to incorporate it into our daily life’s! Love that! 22 and taking notes
Good suggestions! For app subscriptions, I also cancel the reoccurring payments in PayPal. I've had a few apps still charge me after I canceled in the App store, so that helps stop that completely.
If you have an efficient washing machine, you can select the load size and soil level, I would recommend upgrading to a more efficient machine if possible, I got a very inexpensive newer washing machine from an outlet store to replace my old 1990’s washer to save money over time! :)
I had one befor I didn't like it .i forgot the brand but maby I got a bad one tbh I love the washing machines in the laundry matt there like the washing gods 😅
I turn off all appliances when not using (except fridge). I set the Washing machine on Auto to come on in off peak time in middle of night. Don’t use the dryer as it’s the number one energy bill sucker here in Australia. I Just hang outside or inside when cold or raining.
Glad see someone do what I do , plug all the plugs out at night time LOL 😆 When I want to wear a top for that day ( very rare ) or smells weird - I just hand wash the one too instead of the machine 😂 I’m from Europe and we never really bother with dryers ?! I mean fresh air drys them 😂😂🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I follow your advice about unplugging small appliances, lamps and chargers when not in use, it does make a difference!!! Thank you so much for your wise advices🤗🤗❤️
I purchase coffee in a bag or beans. I use it to drink/bake, make coffee body scrub w/the used grounds as presents/for myself, & some in my little balcony garden.
My electricty bill for the month is a whole mortgage paymrnt and i hv no lights 9n the home dont watch much tv only cook for 1 no one comes to my house im just one person and all day till evening my heating since moving in its 8 years no has hardly been switched on. N my bills are like 480 a month is this normal its sad because the bills i get its as if im not allowed to use electricty in the home. So now after watching your video ive took plugs out to see if i save anything. But im on to get all this bill stuff put to an end because i will not pay money i dont have or use. Its so bad now they are demading money and i hate this i hv a huge boiler in my house too and majority of the times its off sometimes i make do with just cold water for months. If u have ant advice please do let me know Thank you another great video from as soon as u sed electric runs through wires i ran plugged them right out but now i need to put it neatly. Thank you take care
I hand wash my clothes and air dry them( it's quite normal where I live), don't have any subscriptions as I mostly watch korean dramas and those are generally available in websites .
Can you do credit cards ect I’m trying to build my credit score and i have them cards to pay monthly and i have no idea if its working or making me more in debt
Yea every place is different unfortunately. In the winter time my gas bill is usually around $300 a month since Boston is so cold we always have to crank the heat up.

@Aleksandra Franks I just use white vinegar in the rinse cycle.
@Aleksandra question, what natural detergent do you use?
Running the washer or dryer or even dishwasher on delay on the middle of the night also costs less if you can do it.
I usually hand wash the clothes that I want to wear on a specific day, especially if it’s only 1 or 2 pcs. 🤗
Your clothing will last a lot longer.
Hy Kyra. Thank you for taking care of our budget.Part 2 please. Big hugs ❤️🤗
Yes part 2

I try to wear my clothes at least twice before washing it unless it stinks or is visibly dirty
Unplugging unused electronics is something that I've done too and it saves so much more money than you realize!

The last one is epic. I did hear that before but wasn't really paying attention. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thank you Kyra. I’ve just unplugged my charger. I’m guilty of leaving it plugged in even after I’ve finished charging.
I follow your advice about unplugging small appliances, lamps and chargers when not in use, it does make a difference!!! Thank you so much for your wise advices🤗🤗❤️
Great tips! I only drink water and don’t buy sugar so I’m forced to drink my Earl Grey tea with just some almond or oat milk.
Holy shit the vampire power difference!!! I knew it was an amount, but I never knew it could be nearly 4X as much!!!! 😱🤯
I love making fresh lemonade and buying a bag of frozen peaches or mangos and letting that infuse in the fridge over night
SO tasty! If you like ginger, add a lil ginger root, it's so good.
I purchase coffee in a bag or beans. I use it to drink/bake, make coffee body scrub w/the used grounds as presents/for myself, & some in my little balcony garden.

The sugary drinks is a bad habit I had to break away from. There are times when I fall back down that rabbit hole but it’s becoming increasingly rare.
The iTunes tip is worth its weight in gold!! Thank you!!
